Its been too long since we've gone to Nagoya. It is great to have such a good restaurant on the North side.
My BIL is Japanese American and likes to take us out for sushi when we go to the US and I would compare Nagoya to any of the restaurants he's taken us to. The food is excellent, fresh and perfectly seasoned.
The service is always exceptional, very welcoming and friendly. Connie was our server and she was so kind, explaining how to eat the tofu dish we were trying properly.

Recently ordered over $100 worth of sushi for take out and specifically asked for extra soy sauce . I got zero. No soy sauce and no wasabi. That’s crazy. Please do better

*my new favourite restaurant* Rare that I include that many stars but this place is an absolute gem. Gone here three times now and every experience is better than the last. The food is amazing with fantastic presentation. Our server Connie was so sweet and on point. Excellent customer service. And the atmosphere is lovely- spacious and decorated well with nice big windows in one side.

Place smelt weird food was flat you know a place is going to be bad when it gives off that weird smell and the rolls have the sushi wrap on the outside to fishy everything was overtly fishy. It's not vancouver sushi that's for sure. Townie sushi at best

Excellent place for lunch, and I'm sure dinner would be the same. Fantastic food and big sashimi. Rolled perfectly. The wasabi gives the right amount of heat, not to spicy but you know you got some. Quick to the table, you are not waiting a dog's age for your food. Met and chatted with the owner and she is a sweetheart. Family run.

We were a party of six ordering various dishes a week or two after they first opened: ramen, grilled eel, karaage chicken, a bento box, a rice bowl...flavors were below average but not inedible. Unfortunately, 4/6 of us got the runs afterwards and food poisoning is always a no-go for future visits. Too bad!
