MAMMA MIA ITALIAN RESTAURANT

2 of us went to Mamma Mia this evening. 0 stars. -Wall beside our table was splattered with food. Dust on the chair rail. very limited seating. -Menus were dirty -We ordered 2 Chicken Parm Paninis with fries and a Diet Coke and glass of water. water glass covered in spots and foggy looking. -Took almost 45 min to get our food, so had time to watch the kitchen area...hmm not very clean or organized. (I have worked in the service industry and this would be below standard I believe) - When we got our food I wouldn't call them Paninis. more like grilled garlic toast Parm sandwich. Bread was really greasy. Chicken over cooked. large tendon in one piece, another piece (size of a chicken finger) I could not even bite through nor cut through with a knife. - Was gonna use the washroom before I left...you had to walk by a table that looked like a dump station, a dirty stand up freezer, a storage room (I think) covered by a dirty plastic table cloth nailed up. Bathroom was unmarked and way at the back. went in.... NASTY...not sure it has EVER been cleaned. Worse than any truck stop I have seen. Needless to say I wasn't about to use it.

The people at mamma mia have no idea what kind of pasta they use. My wife ordered the tortellini pasta and they sent us ravioli pasta and said that it's tortellini. If your going to be a italian restaurant make sure you know your pasta before you start an italian restaurant. And don't argue with the customer or you'll get a bad review

I truly wish these folks the best. But unfortunatley we didnt have the best take out experience. They offer buy one get one free on uber eats and we only got one pizza. The idea of seasoned crust is GENIUS but gets left behind with dirty oil wings. I always wish small business to excel, but Id wish I wasnt charged for things I never recieved, and wish they took a bit more pride in their standards. I paid an extra 3-4 $ for Roctta cheese and there may have been 2 little bits on the whole pizza. I do hope they see their potential and I wish them all the success in the world. I feel very let down.

I ordered from Mama Mia Italian restaurant and found that the complimentary toast that they give you was on top of the pasta containers not in a bag or any common decency to cover it. I found that very odd, the bread was hard as a rock so I just threw it out anyway, but the penne sausage was very good.

The restaurant keep taking GST from customers , even that I told until 24 Feb no GST supposed to be taken from customer according to IRCC, of course I’m not going to argue for a dollar, I don’t know much about their food , but pizza I took was not bad .

I ordered through Uber eats. I was quite disappointed in the spaghetti, it did not look appetizing in the slightest. The taste wasn’t great either. Unfortunately I ended up having to throw both spaghetti dishes in the compost as it was not edible. Definitely wasted money but I’ve learned my lesson.

Reply to owner: first of all, arguing with customers on Google reviews rather than taking criticism is kinda sad. Take the L and move on.
Second of all, I'm aware of what size pizza I bought and it was smaller than 10". Accept the criticism, use it to better your establishment and move on.

The pizzas are ridiculously tiny and not very good.
The spaghetti isn't great either.
I wouldn't eat here again 🤷🏼‍♂️

ordered from Skip only to have to fight with both because they each stand and point fingers.. the meal which had a pizza in it obviously sat in the box a minimum of 20 minutes even before being picked up.. neither the restaurant nor Skip take accountability so either the restaurant should delete Skip if tge drivers continue to screw up and deliver cold food or skip should fine the drivers but i paid 50.00 for a cold soggy pizza some dry fries and a pasta that was called shrimp and scallop which only had two scallops in it. The pizza is equivalent to a McCain frozen pizza no way this chef is Italian in the least! when i call to sort it out the non Italians want to deny accountability.. save your money for an authentic Italian dinner for 50.00, there are plenty of legitimate Italian homemade pasta joints in YEG. First and last time this place gets my dough for their crappy dough! even the bun sent was dry and rock hard

Ordered dinner through doordash. I ordered a couple of pasta dishes and the spinach dip. Unfortunately, the spinach dip did not come with the garlic bread as advertised and the amount of dip left something to be desired. I also requested that one of the pastas have the shrimp in a separate container due to an allergy(the only option besides chicken was vegetables with shrimp, would be nice to have a just vegetable option). The shrimp did not come in a separate container and was mixed in with the pasta therefore the pasta dish could not be eaten by the intended person. There was also not very much pasta in the one dish. I give the food a 4/5 as the spinach dip was good(we had mini dippers on hand) and the pasta dishes were good, according to those that could eat it. Pretty disappointing when it cost $60.00 for a small amount of dip with no bread, and 2 pasta dishes, one with not very much pasta.

I will gladly do the 30 minute drive to this restaurant. These are the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had. Even when I order on Uber eats to the south side it is still piping hot. Keep up the great work. Absolutely delicious!!!

I'm lazily laying on my couch absolutely satisfied with the order of manicotti and the beef mexican pizza we got from Mamma Mia DELICIOUS!!!!! Mamma mia indeed!!
