I had a very disappointing experience with New Streets of India. I placed an order through Uber Eats and received naan that was completely burnt — not just slightly overcooked. I called the restaurant to inform them and expected a simple apology or some kind of polite resolution.
Instead, the girl who answered the phone was extremely rude and dismissive. Rather than acknowledging the mistake, she told me I could only get fresh naan if I returned the burnt ones. How is that even possible when the food was delivered through Uber Eats? Am I supposed to drive all the way back just to return burnt bread?
The tone she used was completely unprofessional — no apology, no understanding, just attitude and poor customer service. Mistakes can happen in any restaurant, but how you treat your customers when they raise concerns makes all the difference. In this case, the response was shockingly bad.
I’m honestly surprised by how poorly this was handled. I’ve supported many local restaurants, but this kind of treatment is unacceptable. I will definitely not be ordering from them again and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who expects decent food quality and respectful service
But what happened next was even more disturbing.
After I posted a review about the incident, the owner of the restaurant personally called me — not to apologize, but to argue, yell, and intimidate us over the phone. He showed no professionalism whatsoever and acted aggressively, almost threatening us for leaving an honest review. I’ve never experienced such behavior from a business owner before.
It’s extremely disappointing to see a local restaurant treat customers this way. Burnt food is one thing — that can happen. But harassing a customer for speaking up is completely unacceptable. I do not feel safe supporting or ordering from this place again, and I would not recommend it to anyone who values respectful service.
One way to run a scam is putting the special offer and not honouring it. When I asked cashier she was like it is not available with appetizers lmao 🤣🤣 what a joke this establishment is. FYI for an owner; Take the stupid sign down so customers are not blindsided. I come here for food often but not happening now.
I’m extremely disappointed with this restaurant. The food is often stale and prepared in unhygienic conditions. It’s shocking that despite other locations already being shut down for similar issues, they continue the same careless practices here.
What’s even worse is how they exploit international students — forcing them into LMIA contracts and then paying only $2000/month for 6 full days of work a week. This is completely unfair and unethical. No proper pay, no respect for labour laws, and zero regard for food safety.
I hope the authorities take strict action before more people fall sick or get exploited here. Avoid this place at all costs.

I used to be amazon delivery (loved it) but this is the place id stop of a healthy $8 pirantha
We had such a wonderful experience at the sweet shop, all thanks to Vandana’s outstanding service! She went above and beyond by offering us a discount, giving us a little extra food, and even kindly not charging for one of the items my niece really wanted. Her generosity and warm attitude made our visit so special. Thank you, Vandana, for your kindness — we’ll definitely be back!

Ordered homestyle curry and instead of having an actual recipe for it or making it from scratch they reuse unsold chicken tikka and throw in some oily laced tomato curry.
