This place is a gem. It's truly Canadian cuisine: BC Salmon, Alberta beef and bison, Quebec veal, and PEI mussels. I had a PERFECTLY cooked steak with a flight of whisky. Reasonably priced for the quality. Intimate atmosphere with a view of the kitchen, which I always appreciate. Every Canadian should dine here at least once. It was a treat.

Everything was fantastic until they decided to not sit us with the quiet people for our 25th anniversary. They chose to sit the very young, noisy woman right behind me. Closest to me, farthest from the other patrons. We were first in the restaurant. I wish I’d asked to be moved to the quiet corner so my husband and I could chat and have a romantic dinner for our special anniversary. It was why we chose Normand’s. But we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk over the noisy young woman talking to her date about her appearance, her old boyfriend, and her texting with her brother about her date. I shouldn’t even be able to hear all that. Why put us in that noisy spot when the rest of the restaurant was so quiet and you sat everyone else in the quiet space after us? And when we told you it was a special occasion? It did ruin the dinner. Why put that noisy young woman (likely still a teenager with tons of money) right beside us? It was a bad choice on your part. The restaurant was not even full when you seated her beside us. I shouldn’t have to ask to move. I lost my appetite after that.

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Normand's Restaurant and the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and seated in a cozy, intimate setting perfect for a special evening. As first-time visitors, we appreciated the thoughtful recommendations from our server, Curtis, who truly made our night memorable. He was incredibly attentive, polite, and respectful of our privacy, striking just the right balance between excellent service and giving us space to enjoy our evening.
For dinner, my wife had a seafood dish that was fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor, while I enjoyed a succulent lamb dish that was equally impressive—tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. Every bite reflected the care and quality Normand’s is known for.
To our surprise and delight, we were treated to a complimentary dessert to mark our anniversary, a sweet and generous touch. They also offered to take a photo of us and even had it printed and given to us before we left—a keepsake we’ll always cherish.
This was more than just a meal—it was a memorable experience, thanks to the outstanding food and truly above-and-beyond service. We’re so grateful to Curtis and the team at Normand's for making our special day even more wonderful. Highly recommend for any occasion, especially if you want something truly special.

Normand's is a terrific restaurant. It's where you get many years of restaurant experience at your table with truly unbeatable and flawless service. We both had lobster infused dishes but I think the best part of dinner was their signature sticky date cake, hope I got that right. Going back for sure, see you soon Normand's!
