This place is a gem. It's truly Canadian cuisine: BC Salmon, Alberta beef and bison, Quebec veal, and PEI mussels. I had a PERFECTLY cooked steak with a flight of whisky. Reasonably priced for the quality. Intimate atmosphere with a view of the kitchen, which I always appreciate. Every Canadian should dine here at least once. It was a treat.
Normand has been serving up outstanding food and hospitality for decades. Call ahead as it is packed with happy regulars every night they're open. Oh, and order the torte for dessert. Enjoy!
Everything was fantastic until they decided to not sit us with the quiet people for our 25th anniversary. They chose to sit the very young, noisy woman right behind me. Closest to me, farthest from the other patrons. We were first in the restaurant. I wish I’d asked to be moved to the quiet corner so my husband and I could chat and have a romantic dinner for our special anniversary. It was why we chose Normand’s.
