Great food ,fast service, friendly staff lots of menu choices Updated from previous review on 2025-07-20
Odd Burger is by far the most affordable vegan restaurant in Edmonton. With the frequent 2-for-1 combo specials, half-off deals, app discounts, and $1.00 ice cream, my wife and I can both go out for dinner here and spend less than $15. Any other vegan restaurant in the city and we can easily expect a bill triple that amount. I am astonished at how well Odd Burger replicates the fast-food taste and atmosphere of the major chains. They have an extensive menu; I've been going regularly for over a year and have only tried about half of their offerings. There really is something for every palate here. I've also had good crossover success with my omnivore friends; they easily relate to the fast-food menu and find the food tasty. Also highly recommended are the Odd Burger frozen foods; they are available in-store and 7-11. (A few other places too, like Co-op I think). They don't really advertise the frozen goods in the Odd Burger restaurant, but they are available through the kiosk and app. The price is comparable to the common supermarket vegan meat, but I like the taste of Odd Burger's more. Also, Odd Burger is 100% Canadian while the supermarket vegan meats are often owned by American companies (even the ones that used to be Canadian). So yes, I highly recommend Odd Burger; it's my favorite restaurant in Edmonton.
I have been to this location several times since it has opened and have not had a bad experience. The food is always as expected and the food always is ready quickly, even a bit earlier than the time estimated in the app. We always order on the app because the app collects points for free stuff while the kiosk does not (I know they are working on that). My favorite things there are the specialty fries, the burgers are pretty good, and I believe theirs are the best onion rings in the city. I'm honestly surprised at some of the reviews, so I'm not sure if people are comparing a fast-food burger to a restaurant burger, but what Odd Burger offers is really good compared to similar restaurants.
I have been here about 5 times and every time it has taken over 40 min to get my food, busy or not. twice my order was incorrect and on two different occasions by the time i got the food from the counter to the table it was cold, not cool, not warmish COLD. To add, no one greets you there is no acknowledgement you are human. you walk up to a order screen, put in the order, pay and wait, and wait, and wait till your number is called, again not human. might as well be a cow at a trough, but they get served faster. This is the worst "fast food" place I have ever been to. I have had faster service sit to eat in fine dining where you would expect food to take some time to make. UPDATE: dragged here by two others, whom I warned, and yet again all but one of us was disappointed. The neo of the group only having a shake. "Well the shake was good." they offered. We got it to go and it took 37 minutes, I timed it. As we drove away we could feel the food was only warm. Gobble it quick before it freezes! How can this place continue to be open with no service, long wait times, and cold food. What kind of vegans are eating here? Go for a Fat Burger food in 7 minutes, hot, delicious and you will be much happier and they treat you like a human. Updated from previous review on 2025-02-15
My dad's not vegan but he liked it. The gf bun tastes really fluffy. My sister liked her orange milkshake. The staff was nice and the food is very clearly listed vegan. :3
Very clean place to eat. I'd found the music was a little bit loud.

My vegan partner and I took my non vegan parents here for lunch and they were pleasantly surprised how much they enjoyed their fast food vegan meal.
My dad had the vegan style big mac and thought is was very similar. My stepmom had the gyro and really liked it. They would both return.
We had the venedicts. His with ham, mine with sausage. We both think sausage was better.
Shakes are delicious.

I had the Preposterous Burger featuring the smash patty. Unfortunately, it was really, really bad. The patties were mushy, like I could squish them with my tongue and they felt like a paste in my mouth. I literally struggled to eat it. It was also bland and boring. I felt nauseous for like an hour afterwards because of the texture of the thing. Idk if they’re supposed to be that but ew…. I wanted to come back and try the chicken burger but I’m honestly scared to try it now. I got fries for my toddler, they were huge but also bland. Fries were better than the burger though. Sad, I really wanted to like this place but I probably won’t be back, I don’t think me and the patties are a match. Staff were nice though and restaurant was clean, I waited about 8 mins and I was the only customer. $17 for fries and a burger.

I really like how the food was not overly salty. I'm not vegan and I love meat but sometimes enjoy a vegan meal. I rated the atmosphere 3 stars because I didn't like the lines "kill bad vibes, not animals" , "our food is better for you".

I love that I could order anything off the menu and that there was a good variety. I went with the special, which was a bac-un burger (don't quote me on the name of it), a poutine and ice tea. The burger was okay, it wasn't hot which was weird as it was just made... and the poutine was good, a bit heavy on the gravy. The place needed to be cleaned, there was lots of debris on the ground and tables, and the bathroom REALLY needs a scrubbing. The staff were friendly and efficent. Overall it was okay and I would give it a try again.

My partner and I are not vegan, but where curious about the jackfruit pulled"pork" so we went in. He got the jack fruit and I got a bacun melt . Oh boy was it good ! My step daughter even liked it and she can be picky. If you served us this at a bbq we wouldn't have been able to tell. (Other then some color difference in the patty) it was a good time , and the price was at par with a regular burger joint. I felt the protion sizes were good.

If you complain you can tell it's vegan you're missing the point. It's a fast food restaurant without the guilt of factory farms.
I really like this place. The milkshakes are where it's at. Good food, good ice cream, small dining room
Lots of parking and nearby ev charges.
