Came here for a work trip and stayed at the hotel. Went downstairs to get some Chinese food and I asked the person who was working at the front approximately 7:30pm on Oct 26 and I asked if they were open since I didn’t see anyone in there…. The person looked at me and said “don’t you see we’re here working? Don’t you see the doors open?” and gave me a lot of attitude for simply asking if they were open …I immediately turned around and walked out due to the disrespect that was given to me. I will never go here again after this encounter with the staff. Very upsetting.

This place should really have higher reviews!! Came here with a group of friends and received impeccable, friendly service and some of the most delicious Szechuan cuisine. Everything was hot, fresh and flavourful. Will definitely be making this one of my takeout go-to places. Seems like a family owned place and our server was so lovely. The only thing I would suggest is music in the dining area would make the dining experience better. Been thinking about their food since because it was so delicious!!!

Almost unbelievably affordable in a seemingly cozy family owned environment. They were very at tentative and occasionally asked if we needed Any more food made if a dish in the buffet ran out. I would highly recommend coming here.

P&L used to be my go-to Chinese restaurant for delivery. They offer generous portions of decent Chinese food at affordable prices. Personal favourites include chicken with cashew and spicy fish (not found on the menu anymore). I stopped ordering from here after multiple orders of funny tasting veggies so I'd give them 6.8/10.

The food and service are great. We enjoyed their special crispy chow mien and braised pork. The interior is a bit cluttered, though, and may need additional staff because the lone lady server looks overworked.

It's a restuarant located in Comfort Inn & Suites Downtown Edmonton. Went for a late lunch. Saw an ad in the chinese newspaper for a combo meal for 4. There is also a lunch buffet option but we didn't try it out.Service and ambiance - 3/5. It wasn't busy so they were not paying much attention. Once you are able to flag them down, they do provide services relatively quicklyCleanliness - 2/5. Typical, some dirty dishes. The server saw but didn't do anything and wanted to put soup in it. We quickly grabbed a new set where multiple sets were ready for distribution when neccessary. As Asians, we generally wash all of our bowls and utensils prior using as our practice with hot water or tea (depending on what you ask for).Food - 4/5. The chicken casserole was flavourful, just a lot of bones. The beef was very soft and tender. The sweet and sour pork chops had a thick tangy sauce but good that it had a light batter around the meat, which kept the meat moist. The chicken is the typical dish you can get at most Chinese restaurants. It was interesting that it actually sat in a soy sauce base. The ginger sauce is missing the typical green onions. However, it was seasoned quite well. I didn't take a picture of dessert though. It was red bean with glutinous rice sweet soup. I actually quite enjoyed it.Overall: 3.5/5. It's an ok place to try if you are in the area. It's has free parking. Just be vigilent with the bowls and utensils.

Food is of good quality and excellent taste, very authentic Cantonese style cuisine must try the steam pork belly with mei choy and roast duck in yam. Service is adequate and friendly, ambiance is acceptable and old fashion Chinese restaurant from the 80s and 90s. Overall good value for money and food is better than average.

I haven't been in but we ordered delivery. Our first order contained mushrooms, despite us stating that we have a severe allergy to them in the house. We called them, and they sent out a replacement with no problems or charge. The food is really tasty and tender, and the price is excellent. We'll totally get food here again.Dietary restrictions: Fixed a dish with allergy issue with no argument

P & L Chinese restaurant is extremely underrated. The food is fresh, has good flavours, and reasonably priced. I look forward to trying their $15 lunch buffet next time.

Pretty good. Containers not filled all the way, wouldn't make it my go to. 20% off for pickup. Great if you stay in the comfort Inn.....just get off the elevator and your there.

Food was some of the best of this kind I've had. Sauces were spot on, especially the black bean beef and zucchini. Hot and sour soup was perfect seasoning. Only issues were the protein thieves who took all the protein from several dishes, leaving just vegetables and sauce, and the jello, while the right firmness, was kind of bland. The tomato and egg was especially good, as was the tofu with grilled onions. Gentleman at table behind me liked the beef brisket enough to order 2 separate additional take out dishes of it. Try it, if you like authentic Cantonese cuisine.
