Best Hu Tieu Bo Sate (number 36) in Edmonton. Great portions; the smallest size is more than enough for me. The broth is very flavourful, and the beef is very tender. Service is always quick.

This is a loyal, dependable place that my husband have gone to for probably 20 years. The place itself isn't fancy...dated really. However not to terribly different then anywhere else I have eating in Chinatown. It is clean(ish). The servers are not what I would call attentive and many of them don't know English, but luckily the menu is numbered. If you have food allergies or restrictions, I am not sure if this would be a place where you would feel safe in ordering. However, food comes out quicker than any where else that I know in Edmonton (including some of the fast food places). We eat here when we are in a rush to get to somewhere else. And 2 people or 30, the food flies out of the kitchen. Menu is extensive. Honestly though we generally stick to the vermicelli bowls. The portion is big and even a picky eater is okay with plain noodles and grilled meat. Disclaiming that, there isn't a whole lot of veggie options. Vegans and vegetarians probably should seek elsewhere. My husband this time as usual, had a meat vermicelli bowl. I wanted something different so I chose the lemongrass shrimp on rice. Our little girl chose the beef pan-fried rice noodle dry style with bean sprouts and green onion. We also had spring rolls. Spring rolls are excellent. Nice and crispy full of noodles and pork super yummy. All three dishes were decent. Were we wowed? Nope. Did it taste the same as it did 20 years ago. Yes. This is a place to go to when you are either in a rush or struggling with life and don't want to make any decisions. When I want to be impressed I don't run here. However, just like your mom's chicken soup when you are sick...when you need it, it will comfort you.

Place is a little dingy but they have really good food. Pho was on point as was all of the other food that our group had. We would definitely go back

Best spring rolls in town and fast/friendly service make Pagolac stand out.

Foods ordered: basil coconut chicken(only those 3 items and onions, needed more colour/ flavour, a little bland), salad rolls(tasty, sauce was more hoisin-y than peanut-y), spring rolls(large, lots of fillings) satay beef (wasn't what I was expecting, more just like Chinese beef and veg) pagolac special with rice(the grilled pork in this was delicious).

Owner's are really nice and the food is very filling and is priced fairly. Great for families, or just a dinner out. Definitely recommend the diced salt fish fried rice!

Second time here. Very friendly service, food comes out quickly and is excellent. Only suggestion would be to add a couple more vegetarian dishes to the menu.

Great hidden gem. If your in the know, you know. Even when it's busy service is quick. Vermicelli bowls are KA-POW. Super competitively priced. HUGE menu, even for this type of restaurant.

This place is by far one of the best restaurants in the city. The service is amazing and quick. You're eating 10 minutes after you order. And the food comes hot and delicious.
