Super bright place, lots of natural lighting. Atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. The food is super fresh, the ingredients are simple but effective. They put their own twist on everything. Amazing place, def one of the best sandwich shops in Edmonton. Highly recommend

The sandwiches were absolutely phenomenal, and the vibe was cozy and quaint. Such a great spot to settle in and enjoy a meal. Our server was incredibly friendly and had wonderful recommendations that made the experience even better. It was bittersweet to learn it was her last day, because she was so personable and truly made our first time at Pals a memorable one. We’ll definitely be back!

My only problem with this place is the beef dip is so damn good I cant bring myself to try most of the other things on the menu that also look delicious. Dill pickle soup is also amazing as the cheese fries. Its a little bit pricey (everything is expensive everywhere these days) but for 2025 its a pretty solid value when you consider the quality and portion sizes.

Recently ate at Pals on Nov 19th. As a Celiac this place is great to eat at. However I got the crispy chicken and part of it was raw. I let the waiter know, however I believe the situation was handled poorly. Mistakes happen and maybe it was an off day, but I believe the situation wasn't handled in a professional manner to resolve the issue.

I have a celiacs and love getting the fried chicken because it’s not something I get very often when eating out. Food is always tasty and hot and I never get contaminated. Great relaxed and friendly vibe as well.

My friend and I went to Pals Sandwiches after visiting the Old Strathcona farmers' market. We went in about 15 minutes after they opened, wasn't busy at all and we were excited since it was both of our first time eating here. It took a while for our server to grab our order, majority of the time she was chatting with her coworker so don't expect too much with service coming here.
We found that both of our sandwiches were bland ... the seasoning did not hit the spot. The sandwiches felt like it needed more salt, maybe some kind of pickled ingredient to offset the one dimensional flavour. The bread also got soggy quite fast so it wasn't the most pleasant eating experience. I think the best part of the meal was actually the chips, they were thin and crispy. Based on our experience and price we paid for our meals, there isn't really an element that draws us in to come back here.
We really enjoyed our hoagie and turkey club sandwiches. These are big sandwiches and they definitely don't skimp out on the meat. Such nice, fresh bread and veggies. The restaurant is meticulously clean as well with a warm, friendly atmosphere.

We LOVE Pals. I’m celiac and because of their plethora of food items that are/can be made gluten free, my partner and I make a point of coming here every Friday night. Their weekly specials are always intriguing and delicious, while their ‘old faithfuls’ never disappoint. I personally get the crispy chicken sandwich each time because it’s GF and it’s not often I can have something so delicious from a GF fryer. Their cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic are top notch too. Their servers are also super friendly and knowledgeable. Please go eat here if you haven’t already.
