My son and I had much anticipated our visit on there tuesday night, all you can eat fish. I learned within the first bite of my fish that whatever one they had served me, I did not like. I don't know if we showed up on an off night, but I'm really used to eating at different place in North Edmonton that has a lighter batter and flakey non greasy fish. However, Pans is much much closer, and it was nowhere near as good as the other place. My fish was very overcooked. It was not light and flaky. It was greasy and heavy, I've never had fish feel dry in my mouth either, and this was. I couldn't even finish my original fish, Let alone try more. My batter was not light and crispy. It was very heavy with the grease, and it was burnt in a couple of spots. My son did not enjoy his either. However, he did eat it and asked to try the other selection of fish. I tasted a tiny tiny bit and it had a strange flavor for Pollock that I was not a fan of. Which is weird because I thought Pollock was supposed to be mild. I did enjoy their gravy it was yummy, highlight of my meal. I don't know If it was homemade, but it absolutely tasted homemade, and it was delicious. I would have taken a container of that home. My son and I both enjoyed the french fries. The coleslaw was okay, I would eat it again. I prefer the place that I go to, in the North End's tartar sauce better. Pans wasn't bad, but it wasn't that great. It's nothing that I would want to go back for. Our server was very sweet and if I ever went back to that restaurant again, it would not be because of the fish, that's for sure, I would go back because of the great service. There's a couple of burgers on the menu that I would much rather try than the fish.

The food itself was alright, but it wasn't really anything super special and I probably wouldn't come back for it again. However, the service was very good, and they prepared a custom order that did not have any of the breading for my Dad who is allergic to gluten.

Dietary restrictions: They can prepare the order without breading if you have a gluten allergy

Went to dine in with my wife last Tuesday. It's not really an "all you can eat "as advertise. When I order 1 more piece of fish the lady said I can't coz my wife already has his leftover container from her 2 PC meal. What does her left over got to do with my all you can eat meal? They thinkwe're going to scam them.. NOT going back in this restaurant.

Old skool family run fish n chips place, there is a retro vibe to the restaurant. It's nearly 25 years old and has probably not changed a lot. Clean and well maintained.
Found the food to be just about alright, fish had very thick and kind of stretchy batter coating instead of light and crisp as I was expecting but was ok. Chips weren't really great but came with condiments and coleslaw to make up for it. Portions was good size with 2 pieces of fish as lich special for $15
Service was quick and restaurant was moderately busy at lunch time with few tables available.

I get it. Inflation is bad. But I simply couldn’t even try this place because the prices were too high.

Fresh and crispy fish, plus really nice owners.

Went in on a Wednesday, not too busy but service was friendly and prompt.

Had the 3pc Atlantic wild cod fish and chips (ended up being 4 pieces because the 3 on hand didn’t quite add up to 12oz so that was nice).

The fish was fresh and had a nice thick. The batter was perfect, not too heavy and very crispy. Good fries too.

Also started with the deep fried mushrooms.. really nice screaming hot inside. Could use a touch of seasoning. The dip was just sour cream (no skimping there).. but they went better with the zesty tartar sauce.

Overall, I’d definitely go back.
