French onion soup was to die for. We got 4 different items from the menu and they were each uniquely different. The server was on the ball for explaining what we were getting, free popcorn with garlic oil and sea salt as a starter. Atmosphere was accommodating and cozy lit with candle. Great to see a FRIENDLY French restaurant with no pomp! Definitely going back but next time will make a reservation as there is limited seating.

This place was pretty cute! Went for a happy hour wine and snack. The wine that was on happy hour I was quite disappointed with as it was a really cheap bottle from the liquor store and even before I knew that, it was not the quality I expected to have.
The food was delicious though.
The bathroom could use some TLC with better fixtures and items in it - just seemed a bit thrown together.
I’ll definitely be back, but I’d try the wine before getting a full glass for sure, which was more my mistake for not asking.

Abigail was a really great server and really was helpful. The food was also really great. We had the French Onion soup, olives, and mini French dip. Each had its own unique flavour.

We had 2 days in Edmonton and I’m so glad we found this little gem of a place. Atmosphere is quaint, staff are knowledgeable, and the mixologist is hands down amazing! We chose “dealers choice” and she crafted us a great cocktail and came to the table to explain how she created it! Ordered soup and charcuterie board and they were fantastic. 10/10

Just left Partake with nothing but good things to say! Our server and any other staff we encountered was genuinely, authentically kind. Customer service went above and beyond the usual. We had two allergies at the table between two of us. They were so well addressed. We sat outside on the patio and didn't have mosquito repellent. The staff dug up citronella candles and mosquito coils and made sure we were comfortable. This place is soulful. This place is a vibe 🙏🏽

Partake delivers a beautifully intimate French bistro experience, right in the heart of Edmonton. The cozy interior evokes a Parisian wine bar with dark wood, candlelight and vintage decor... The menu is small but impeccably curated. We started with a charcuterie board piled high with silky duck liver pate, cured meats, local cheeses and house pickled vegetables. The French onion soup was rich and deeply savoury with melty cheese blanketing the top and crispy bread underneath... For mains we enjoyed steak frites cooked to a perfect medium and moules frites in a white wine broth with crisp fries. A braised short rib special was fall apart tender and paired with creamy mash. Save room for dessert because the vanilla bean creme brulee and chocolate pot de creme are unforgettable... Beyond the food, the service is attentive and knowledgeable, with staff eager to recommend wine pairings or cocktails from their extensive list. They also offer thoughtfully crafted non alcoholic options. This little gem is perfect for date nights or small celebrations, and the relaxed ambiance means you can linger over your courses without feeling rushed. Prices are fair for the quality and portion sizes, making Partake a must try spot for anyone who loves French comfort food with a modern twist.
Service and food were awesome! We'll be back!

Food is absolutely divine. Every biteful was packed with flavor. The breads they use are next level and nearly everything is scratch made in house.
Service is a tad slow, but that's to be expected from a small restaurant.
Will definitely be back.

What I liked:
The zero proof drink was delicious.
The food was decent.
What I didn't like:
The prices are outrageous. I guess if you only have a handful of tables and a bar to pay for the place, you have to make up for it in absurd price per person rates, but then again maybe that's just not good business planning?
The place is excessively loud (God help you if anyone orders a shaken drink). Needs sound dampening in a bad way. It's a terrible place for a conversation or to connect with others unless you're dead.

Everything I had was way too salty for us, need one full glass of water to finish each course. Had 3 glasses in that night and more back home. Maybe it’s just not for us. Had the egg, sandwich and duck. Salty level low to high.
The dessert presentation is not up to expectations. Taste is ok.

my friend and i showed up at partake after we tried to get into violino but it was fully booked and i`m SO glad we did. the servers were incredibly kind, fun and gave good suggestions .
while ordering. the food was seriously generously portioned, with the charcuterie board hosting what seemed like 60g of each meat selection. the chef is insanely talented in all areas, but the desserts had us literally slapping our knees; more specifically, the pumpkin cheesecake. also try the whipped brie!!!

Someone scored them less than 5 stars?
Yes it is quirky, but have you seen anything French? Quirky is the French way, and it is also the right way.
It is the Citroen DS of restaurants. It prioritizes ingredient quality. They make many things in house by the skill of the hands that make the individual dishes. It is a slow food movement with a killer wine selection and servers that are happy in their service.
The music is on point with the later gen z and millennial crowd, so that is a huge win. I would suggest that the audio system gets a tune and eq'ed a little bit. just to flatten out the frequency response and ease up on the 100 Hz range and bring in a little more of the 5 kHz. Not much but just a touch.
The barman knows... dont question. Just enjoy.
The food. Très délicieux et superbe en qualité!
You will forget about your phone, so leave it at home. You will be catered to by people who share the responsibility of putting out the level best that a team can do. And if you need a phone to distract you, you are probably in the wrong restaurant.
Conclusion. There are very few things that can be considered exceptional in this world anymore. Most is mass produced trivial watered down pap that is made with sawdust and poison. This restaurant not that and in fact is the opposite, and so it is exceptional.
Suggestions: try some hot peppers to spice up the pickled vegetables a little. Not a lot, but just enough to add some contrast to the charcuterie et fromage.

This is one of my favourite places for a late Sunday lunch. The portions are VERY generous and the food always delicious.
Parking: Parking lot in the front of the building or across the street, particularily on Sunday when some shops are closed.
