Pharaohs Restaurant feels like stepping into a little piece of Egypt. The cosy atmosphere, traditional decor, and warm lighting create a truly welcoming vibe. The Egyptian dishes are rich in authentic flavors, from perfectly spiced koshari and tender Alexandian liver to Molokheya and classic sides, all tasting homemade and deeply traditional. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel like a guest, not just a customer, which turns the whole visit into a personal, memorable Egyptian dining experience.

Really loved the food and the place. The owner was really nice too and I'll make sure to come back to this restaurant to try out new things since I didn't get the chance to do so!

The food was amazing! This was my second time coming, I’ve had the lamb souvlaki and the hawawshi and both were delicious! The server was very accommodating and gave great recommendations. We will definitely be back again :)

This is the loveliest little place! The atmosphere is so cozy, the service is friendly and quick, and everything we ordered was SO, SO delicious! We were particularly taken with the saganaki, which was tender and flavorful -- probably the best I've ever had. I'd also highly recommend the Om Ali on a chilly winter night. That and the lively conversation with our server were the perfect end to a very enjoyable meal. I'm sure we'll be back!

Pharaoh’s is an absolute gem in Edmonton’s dining scene, delivering an masterclass in authentic Halal Egyptian cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the warm hospitality and inviting ambience make you feel less like a customer and more like a guest in a private home. The food is the true star, every bite tastes remarkably homemade, capturing those rich, comforting flavors that are so hard to find elsewhere. With impeccable service and high-quality ingredients, there is truly nothing to complain about; it is easily the best spot in the city for a genuine taste of Egypt.

The lamb was smelly and tasted very bad. It was the first time in my life that I couldn’t eat what I ordered. I even tried to eat the potato on the side, but it was uncooked. I honestly don’t remember ever tasting food this bad before.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Pharaohs with the great tasting food and the friendly service we received. Would highly recommend to anyone in the city.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in Edmonton.
There was one server doing absolutely everything front of house and the kitchen. It was painful to watch. This isn’t on her at all; she was clearly overwhelmed and doing her best. This is 100% a management failure.
With only two tables in the restaurant, we were still quoted over an hour wait for food. Dishes came out one by one, forcing us to cancel items because the timing made no sense. Most of the food appeared to be microwaved, which made the wait even more frustrating.
While we were there, a table of five walked in, waited 15 minutes without being greeted, and left. That alone says everything.
I genuinely don’t understand how this place operates like this, or how it has the reviews it does because what we experienced does not line up at all.
Leaving a single employee to run an entire restaurant is unacceptable. Do better for your staff and your customers.
Would not return.
