Pho Hoan Pasteur never disappoints. I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always fresh, flavorful, and fast. Whether it’s the pho sate, vermicelli bowls, or green onion cakes, everything hits the spot. The staff are friendly and efficient—even when it’s packed during lunch or dinner, they keep things moving. With 7 locations now, it’s super convenient no matter where you are in Edmonton. Expect a bit of a wait during peak hours, but trust me—it’s worth it every time.

Recommended dishes: Beef Sate Pho with Peanuts, Onion Cakes
This was my first time here and I was not disappointed. I had the Pho with brisket and it was quite tasty. The large bowl was filling. The Onion Cakes were as good as I have had.
The service was pretty fast, despite the restaurant being full.
I wouid go back for sure.
This used to be one of my favorite pho places, but our experience yesterday left a lot to be desired.
My friend ordered a house special pho and upon having a few bites, she thought her pho tasted weird. Soon, she immediately felt sick and began vomiting.
I called the manager to let him know and much to my dismay, he started to deny that it was the pho that caused her to vomit. The manager says that it is impossible to get food poisoning because all the meat in the house special is cooked, but I still think that cross contamination can still occur with cooked and uncooked meat with unsanitary food safety practices. We thought the manager was quite dismissive of our experience.
They did offer to take my friends pho off of our bill but we felt that our concerns were not heard especially for something as important as food safety.

Service was a bit slow but the place was bustling. Absolutely loved the bun bo hue, it tasted so authentic and delicious! My partner had the specialty pho and the broth tasted authentic as well. Definitely recommend!
I have the 5 colour vermicelli and shrimp fresh rolls. I was VERY impressed with both dishes. Service was great as well. Will definitely be coming back to try other dishes

Why does the takeout soups come in a bag. When it already comes in a container made for liquids. This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen

We’ve been going to this restaurant for years and love it overall, but this location is a constant letdown lately. The quality control here is very poor, especially with the green onion cakes, our favourite dish. Almost every single time they come out overcooked, hard, and crunchy. Our last order was so badly burnt it was completely inedible. Total waste of money.
What makes it more frustrating is that we know how good these can be, other locations serve them light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. This spot just never gets it right.
If you want the true experience, go to a different location. Sadly, this one just doesn’t deliver.
