I visited Pip with my girlfriend, and what should have been a simple seating clarification turned into a very uncomfortable and embarrassing situation for both of us. When we arrived, we politely asked whether we could sit side-by-side at a small table. The host initially said it was fine, and even a neighbouring guest agreed it wouldn’t bother them. Shortly after, the manager came over and addressed the situation in a very abrupt and public way — speaking to me in front of other patrons instead of handling it privately or calmly. This made both my girlfriend and me feel singled out and embarrassed. I did become frustrated, and I have fully acknowledged and apologized for that. But the way the manager chose to escalate things, and the tone used, left me feeling bullied and ashamed. My girlfriend, who wasn’t involved at all, was uncomfortable just witnessing how the situation unfolded. After reaching out privately to explain our perspective, the owner responded by banning us from all of their establishments. The reply placed the entire blame on me without acknowledging any role the manager’s approach may have played in escalating the situation. Instead of feeling heard, we felt dismissed. This experience also made me question how staff might be treated behind the scenes. If a customer can be spoken to this way and effectively removed over a seating arrangement, I worry about what expectations or pressures staff may be under as well. Sadly, this isn’t a place we feel comfortable returning to. I hope management reflects on how situations like this are handled so other guests — and their own staff — aren’t put in similar circumstances.

Our waiter was fantastic and patient with our group of 8. The food was delicious. We love being able to get our group in to the back room so we aren't taking over space for other tables when we do our Christmas gift exchange. Thanks Pip!

Great service, had a show in one hour from being seated and the food came out quickly and was hot. The risotto is incredible. Definitely going to coming back again and again especially on nights when I am going to the theatre

Our group of three thoroughly enjoyed our Brunch. All around delicious, great service, GF and lactose free options. We look forward to celebrating other events there. The only negative was the air temperature was a touch chilly.

Got the ragu pasta and the chicken. The pasta was very good. The chicken was a little salty but cooked very well, still quite moist. A little disappointed in the mashed potatoes but the gravy and kale were pretty good.

Stopped by for a very late meal and I appreciate that their kitchen closes at 9:45pm when their closing time is 10pm, which is much more reasonable than other restaurants!

This place is lit. Great staff. They absolutely gave it their all. Did not have to wait long at all. Food was perfect. Great value too! We had an amazing birthday brunch and will definitely go back.

I was a little salty that, as we waited for a table to become available, another 4 person group came in (also no reservation) and talked themselves into a table ahead of us.
That being said, the wait staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly as always, and the French toast was fluffy with crispy edges and not too sweet.
It can get VERY loud when busy, so not recommended for anyone with sensory issues.

We love coming to Pip for brunch, family dinners, and date nights. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the food never disappoints! Our only wish is that they offered reservations for weekend brunch for groups under 7 people.
