One of my favorite Korean restaurants in Edmonton!
The food at Pocha Seoul is super delicious and very satisfying. We ordered seafood soup and beef with rice, and both were flavorful, fresh, and served hot. The soup was rich and comforting, especially perfect during cold weather, and the beef was tender with a nice balance of sweet and savory taste.
The serving size is generous and worth the price. The place also has a cozy and casual vibe, perfect for dining with family or friends. Staff were friendly and attentive which made the experience even better.
Definitely a place I would keep coming back to whenever I’m craving Korean food. Highly recommended! 😊

Probably one of the best Korean restaurants in the city.
Love the black bean noodle (Jjajangmyeon) and deep fried pork (Tangsuyook).
They have a couple of booths as well.
Great good.

Food was excellent good service but the place is a bit warm but manageable (can get over the heat in a few minutes)

Pocha used to be my go to place. But today a new young waitress who took my orders wrong had no manner to correct the situation but rather accused me of having ordered wrong. She was wrong with my order and again wrong with the level of spiciness. She first responded saying that I didn’t mention anything about the spiciness, but when I confronted her, she mentioned that I requested “Regular” spiciness but in fact, I ordered my food in Korean so no “Regular” was spoken whatsoever. She either was confused or bravely lying. Even when I was visibly upset with the situation, she never apologized but continued to insist that I got what I ordered and fully charged. I lost my appetite completely for the food as well as the place. She should be trained properly. If she has a trouble taking orders, she better starts to write down the orders, so she doesn’t have to ruin someone else’s appetite.

This restaurant has a lot of problems. The tables are old, and there's no grill at the table, so if you order a stew, the fat will congeal and float over time. And the stone pot bibimbap doesn't come with soup and there aren't enough vegetables, so it's not really bibimbap. You won't come back, and you'll tell your friends not to either.

Pocha Seoul is our go-to spot in Edmonton whenever we're craving Korean Jjajangmyeon (noodles in black bean sauce) and Jjambbong (spicy seafood noodle soup). As former regulars of Won Jung Gak (now closed), we were delighted to find that Pocha Seoul’s flavors are reminiscent of our old favorite.
Our must-order is Combo A, which includes two bowls of Jjajangmyeon and a small Tangsuyuk—crispy, deep-fried pork in a light batter, served with sweet and tangy sauce. However, we always opt for Option 1 (+$2) to swap one Jjajangmyeon for Jjambbong, replicating Won Jung Gak’s famous half-and-half bowl. The combo also comes with two classic banchan: Kongnamul Muchim (seasoned soybean sprouts) and Kimchi.
The front-of-house staff are friendly and attentive.
Highly recommend.

I have been a loyal customer of Pocha and have always enjoyed their deep-fried chicken in sweet and spicy sauce, which used to be one of the highlights of their menu. Unfortunately, the quality of this dish has declined significantly in recent visits. The balance has shifted to the point where it feels like there is far more batter than actual chicken—closer to 90% coating and only about 10% meat.
This change has been very disappointing, especially considering how consistently good the dish used to be. I truly hope the restaurant revisits its original recipe and standards, as the flavor was excellent in the past. At present, however, the quality does not justify the experience.
Great service! staff are warm, attentive, and always smiling. Food is good, comes out fast, and the portions are generous. We were two people and still couldn’t finish. There are better Korean spots for flavor, but if you just want a quick, satisfying bite, this place is perfect.
