Remedy Cafe - Raymond Block

I love this place. I work at a corporate chain coffeeshop, so anywhere where the baristas are allowed to express themselves (slay, basically) makes me so so happy. They're always kind, and always have a compliment, and they seem like they actually want to be there. Quick service, even in a rush, and quality coffee, chai, and snacks. I like the single stall bathrooms and all the art in there. Tons of vegan options which I love! Hope everyone here has a good day !!!

Unfortunately the staff were not friendly or welcoming. No greetings and seemed annoyed when I asked questions. Customer service needs improvement.

Have to give 1 star - the servers were so rude! Felt like I was at Karen's, not Remedy Café. They handed us four different coffees and told us to figure out which was which

After finishing up at When Pigs Fly — where I’d just found the perfect, one-of-a-kind gift for a contractor friend — I stepped outside and smiled when I looked across the street: there was one of my favourite cafés, Remedy.

I owe my love for Kashmiri chai to a dear friend who once traveled through India and came back with stories that smelled like spice and sunshine. When I tried the version at Remedy Café, I understood immediately why she spoke about it with such reverence.

The chai here is unlike anything else — rich, rosy, and delicately sweet, with just enough warmth from the cardamom to make the world feel softer for a moment. Pair it with their famous samosas (perfectly crisp on the outside, savoury and comforting inside), and you’ve got a meal that feels both exotic and familiar.

The staff are kind, the music hums gently in the background, and there’s a beautiful sense of calm in the air. I love that Remedy is a place where you can sit for hours — whether you’re writing, catching up with a friend, or just pausing between moments of a busy day.

And as for When Pigs Fly — that store is a treasure chest of personality. I went in hoping to find a small thank-you gift and left with something that felt made for my friend: clever, unexpected, and full of heart. It’s one of those shops that makes you believe gift-giving can still be personal and fun.

Highly recommend making an afternoon of it — shop for something wonderful at When Pigs Fly, then treat yourself to a Kashmiri chai and samosas across the street at Remedy Café. It’s pure Whyte Avenue magic. 🌸☕🥟🎁

I visited Remedy in Whyte this afternoon and had a fantastic experience! The cashier was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help me navigate the menu. I often feel overwhelmed by choices, but they patiently guided me through the options and helped me make a great decision. I really appreciate the assistance! Thank you!

I had a very unpleasant experience at this café. The waiter working in the evening was extremely rude and disrespectful towards me. His behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, and it completely ruined my visit. Customers deserve to be treated with basic respect, but unfortunately, that was not the case here. I left feeling frustrated and upset, and I will definitely think twice before coming back.
