The meat is astonishingly good and they are incredibly knowledgeable and proud of the work they do here. We were very honored to have a tour of the kitchens and see their process.
Having said that, there were some parts of the dishes I felt could be honed in more, namely the bison and most things that weren't meat. Also, the appetizers and sharables other than the kitchen plate were quite small, especially for cost.
Overall a very fun experience with passionate people to guide us.

We visited RGE RD for my wife and I’s anniversary. We were greeted warmly and were immediately informed on the restaurant’s vision and some recommendations. We all started with cocktails and our server (Marc) made some excellent recommendations based on our base liquor of preference.
We shared starters of the kitchen board (the sausage was the highlight) and the scotch egg. We shared a magnum of a delightful Ontario gamay and all had steaks.
Our friends ordered a 7oz bavette and a 9oz strip. My with and I shared a 26oz ribeye. The steaks were perfect, so succulent and tender.
We didn’t have room for desert but shared the Madeleine and ice cream none the less.
The overall service and atmosphere were spectacular and the food was very good

We ordered Flank and Bison. Flank was very flavourful with very rich beef taste. Flank wasn’t melt-in-mouth kind of steak, but it was tender. I loved it very much. Bison tasted more chewy with more fat. My friend liked it. Alena was very friendly and knowledgeable. Service was top-notch! Highly recommend this place if you want fresh and high quality steaks.

What can I say but a truly amazing dining experience. Treated well from the moment you come through the door. Staff are very attentive and our server ( sorry I forgot his name) was excellent. The red cranberry lemonade was neither too sweet nor too tart. Once my friend arrived our server was again very attentive. We both had the bison - there was nothing critical to say about this main - it was perfection. So much so it made me slow down to savour the flavors. The sourdough bread fresh out of the wood oven was well done - Crispy crust and soft on the inside and the daily butter offering was a perfect compliment. We were both full with no room for dessert with our coffee however; the table over was debating a birthday and we're complimented the raspberry sorbet to toast the celebrant. Best raspberry sorbet ever...a hint of Bailey's did not take away of the fresh summer taste of the raspberries. My only regret is this place is too far from my home in Ontario as would bring my hubby back for the 6 course dinner to celebrate his upcoming birthday. I have been to a lot of field conflate restaurants but this one is truly outstanding in its field.
