Drove all the way over here on January 8th and there's a sign on the door says closed till the 17th you think they could update their operating hours here on Google obviously they don't care. What a waste of time and what a way to spoil my anticipation. If you're close for that long please adjust your hours. Everybody else does when there's a holiday or hours change you just go to your Google page for it and change it very simple. This will leave a bad taste in my mouth for a long time
Rick and Alice's has been feeding me since way back when they owned a restaurant on Whyte Ave 30 years ago, and their food has been excellent every time. Alice is the friendly font end lady that makes you feel welcome, Rick (and others) cook a good meal every time. I used to go there with a good buddy for breakfast on Saturday's for 10 or 12 years. Although we tried other breakfast places periodically, we always gravitated back to Rick and Alice's grill. Nothing but the best experience every time!Kid-friendliness: My kids love the place. Alice makes them feel welcome, and makes food my son will actually eat (he is finicky).

We recently moved to the Mckernan area and just discovered this hidden gem. The serving staff are so pleasant and fast. We both had steak and eggs. The steak and the eggs were prepared to perfection! We are definitely going to make this our regular spot!
