Ricky's Breakfast Caf - Magrath

Food was Good and relatively affordable. Highlight was Definitely the Shakes.

It was my first time at this location. Once entering, I was greeted immediately by the hostess. The restaurant is very clean and has a nice quiet atmosphere. Our server was excellent. Extremely friendly and attentive. All items ordered came out exactly as requested. Very nice place for a meal. Highly recommend.

We’ve visited this restaurant many times and usually had a great experience—especially with the male server, who is always friendly, attentive, and professional. However, every time we are served by the female staff member, we leave feeling frustrated and disappointed.

There have been repeated issues with pricing and inconsistent explanations. On a previous visit, I ordered two kids’ meals with chocolate milk. I was surprised to be charged for one milk, since drinks had always been included. The female server said drinks were not part of the kids' meal, but she was only charging me for one “as a favor.” She also explained that chocolate milk is refillable if paid for separately.

So today, I was careful with our order. We got one kids’ meal and two chocolate milks. I expected to be charged for the extra milk, and I also expected that it could be refilled, based on her previous explanation. But this time, she served both milks only half full, saying it was because “kids’ size is small.” That has never happened before—we’ve always received full cups, and my kids never needed a refill.

After my son finished his half full drink, we requested a refill. At checkout, we were charged $3.50 for the chocolate milk, plus an extra fee （around $2.50） labeled “kid juice refill,” which was never mentioned or shown on the menu. To make things worse, the kids’ meal was charged at $10.99, even though the price on kid’s menu is around $6.49. When questioned, she said the system charged for $10.99—but made no effort to honor the menu price.

I want to be clear: I have no issue paying for what we order. But I do expect consistent, honest service. I based my order on what she told me last time, only to be charged extra again, with vague and changing explanations.

Sadly, after experiencing this kind of behavior more than once, I’ve decided I won’t be returning. If a business tries to make a few extra dollars by cutting corners or confusing customers, they may end up losing loyal ones instead.

Our server was very overwhelmed. Our food sat under the heat light for 20 minutes and the server brought us someone else’s food. I finally had to say that our food was sitting there!! No apologies or compensation for making us wait for so long for our food. 2 tables that came in 30 mins after us were served before us. Huge disappointment on Mother’s Day…

The people that work there were really nice there food tasted amazing. I would truly recommend everybody go there!

I went for breakfast with my beautiful wife and our baby. This was our first time to have breakfast at Ricky’s. The food was delicious and perfectly served. Eden made our experience so special. Our 16 months baby loved her so much. She was very efficient at her job and also so kind and sweet as a person. There’s nice food in many other places, but not as nice staff are found that easy! Definitely Eden is one of a kind. We will keep visiting this place cuz they really have amazing staff! ThanQ Eden!

This location in particular has gone above and beyond to rectify an otherwise negative experience. For the record : DoorDash customer service was not helpful at all.

Thankfully, the management team (shout out to Reyn) showed genuine consideration and support regarding the matter. After multiple exchanges, the team at the Magrath location stepped up and provided an excellent customer experience (along with an incredible meal) that truly made a HUGE difference!

It’s because of the dedication of this team that I will happily continue to be a loyal customer.

For those who are not familiar with this location - THIS PLACE IS GREAT!! 💯% would recommend!!

We came here for our festival,to have breakfast with a big family ,they served every body but after waiting for an hour we simply cancelled everything.
It was obvious that they were not happy to see us and serve .will never go again and tell others not to ,I don't know other locations but this one ,made me sad
