We had a lovely time for Dominic's birthday. Food was absolutely delicious. And a great space! All the best for the holidays!

Four of us went to Rigoletto's before going to the Citadel on a Sunday evening. It was quiet when we arrived at 5:15 but filled up pretty quickly. The staff were wonderful and engaging and the food was wonderful. My husband and I split a polenta appetizer, the Italian salad and the pasta special, which was penne with a creamy, double smoked bacon sauce. That was lots for the two of us, though we still had a tiramisu for desert. It was all great but the pasta and the salad really stood out. I would have a hard time trying something else if I went back because I enjoyed them so much.

The food was very good it's the service that I got that put a bad taste in my mouth we ordered and everything was good but it took 1 hour before we got bread and another 25 mins before we got food and said there was a big party. After we ate are food and dessert we had 20 minutes before out waiter came up to are table and asked how we would like the check didn't say sorry for the long wait just nothing very bad taste in my mouth

Fantastic food in a cozy and well organized space. Staff are all very kind and prices are reasonable with extremely large portions

I visited Rigoletto’s Italian Restaurant for the first time to celebrate my wife’s birthday. She grew up in Edmonton and had always spoken highly of this place, so we were both looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, this visit will likely be our last.

We both ordered the bronzed ribeye steak. The cut itself was uneven in thickness, which resulted in very uneven doneness. I ordered my steak medium, but about half of it was cooked well-done. By the time I realized, I had already eaten half, so I simply showed the server the issue and told her I would finish the meal. She did mention it to the kitchen, but there was no follow-up or acknowledgement afterward.

What disappointed me even more was the lack of attentiveness from the owner (or manager), who was present but appeared occupied chatting with his regular customers. At no point did anyone check in on us or address the quality concerns we brought up.

Given the restaurant’s long-standing reputation, I was genuinely expecting better food and better service. Perhaps we should have ordered pasta instead of steak, since it is an Italian restaurant. A franchise steakhouse may actually offer more consistent food quality and equal, attentive service to every table.

Did not want to ruin my wife's birthday, but Rigolleto's did.

Oh and as my wife mentioned, the restaurant moved to a bigger and nicer location—I sincerely hope they remember that they were able to make that move because customers like us chose to trust and support them.

Fabulous meal and service. They were super busy but, were all working together to take care of everyone (whether or not it was their table). The food selection and taste was exceptional. For a lovely evening out I highly recommend Rigoletto's.

Wonderful evening with excellent food, great service, lovely wine and dear friends. Sitting on the left side of the restaurant as you enter was a game changer! It's much quieter with a gentler ambiance than the right side. Thank you for the choice!!!

Always a fabulous experience. Our food was exceptional and it's always a pleasure being served by Alex. He's a joy to talk to and always goes out of his way to make guests feel right at home. Can't wait to come back!

This was our first time going to Rigoletto's and it won't be our last. He service was fantastic. Very attentive and prompt. The food was excellent, fresh and well presented. The value for a downtown restaurant was except as well. Large portions at very reasonable prices. We were so happy to have found Rigoletto's.

Had a great meal before a show at the citadel. Loved the charm of the historic building too.

Tried the spinach dip for the first time and it was great, however a need to ask for extra bread is a must as 4 small pieces are not enough for the amount of dip. Had Nellas linguine and it is fantastic. Our favorite. If you have not tried it it is a must eat. I will say the service was just OK. Only select tables were asked if they wanted pepper or parm for their meals. However server noticed we needed extra bread and brought out some bread that is from the Italian Bakery. Very good to use for the dip. Have not had a bad meal here ever. Look forward to the jazz night on Monday.

A perfect location before or after Citadel and Winspear, as well as a great destination on its own!
