Riverside Bistro is a relaxed hideaway in the Courtyard by Marriott that delivers much more than hotel fare… the dining room is warm and inviting with wood accents and big windows that look out over the river valley. In summer the patio is a perfect spot to sip cocktails and watch the sun set. The menu covers everything from hearty breakfasts to burgers and steaks. I love starting the day with their eggs Benedict and fluffy pancakes and later returning for a juicy Alberta beef burger or a perfectly grilled steak with seasonal vegetables. Soups and salads are fresh and the daily specials often feature seafood and pasta. Drinks are equally impressive… there is a full bar with local craft beers, signature cocktails and a curated wine list. The coffee is strong and smooth which pairs well with their house made desserts. Service is attentive and friendly yet never intrusive; servers make sure everyone from hotel guests to locals feels welcome. This place is accessible with a level entrance, wide aisles and an accessible washroom. There is plenty of seating for groups, families and solo diners and they happily provide high chairs for kids. Vegetarian guests will find salads, veggie burgers and customizable plates and the kitchen can accommodate gluten or dairy sensitivities. Parking is available in the hotel garage or nearby paid lots and there are spots along the street too. Overall Riverside Bistro is a great choice for breakfast meetings, casual lunches or cozy dinners with a view… it embodies the laid back hospitality that Edmonton is known for.

Came here to have lunch with my 2 cousins, the vibes were awesome and had an amazing view on the patio but our experience was ruined by poor quality service. Our server Arvind, had 3-4 tables other than us on the patio and zero tables on the inside dining area. He had no decency to ask how we were once sat, service was very very slow overall. Waters took long, drinks took long and food took 45 minutes from the moment we ordered (for reference we ordered everything at the same time and we all ordered handhelds)… on top of the horrible quality of service, right after we put in our order he asked immediately if the bill would be all together (we told him it would be separate)…. I didn’t appreciate it, it was off putting and rude. Food came, he didn’t quality check. Bill time comes, we ask for our bills. He brings it all together, what was the point for asking how bills were in the beginning of service if you weren’t going to follow through with the answer??? For such a high quality restaurant + hotel, this shouldn’t be acceptable amongst your staff and they should be trained to provide quality customer service. Thank you, this review isn’t meant to get Arvind in trouble, hopefully it just shapes him into a better server.

Dome fee is $50 and min spending is $150 when in the dome... this isn't a big deal if you read the fine print 🖨🙄, I didn't, and it was a tiny surprise upon being sat down! Anyway, when in the dome we weren't super impressed, it was raining, and they didn't have any umbrellas to transfer us to the dome. The heaters didn't work, the mood lighting had to be slapped a few times to start working but it died down soon enough... When my mum started shivering we requested to be seated inside, we were told that we will still be charged for the dome! I had to speak with Mr. Mark, who seemed like was the team lead for the evening. Since we weren't out there for more than a few mins and the weather suddenly turned crappy, he said he understands and we won't be charged for the dome. Anyway he knew we would have carried on if we weren't wet and cold in the dome. On the other hand the food and drinks were good. Chef's special poutine was a strong curry taste for us, sea food linguine was ok-ish, beef burger was good, steak and frites were delicious. The server helped us omit Pork and alcohol for our table, she made us virgin Moscow Mules and it was one of the most refreshing drinks I have had in a while! I preferred their fig and cheese flatbread 🫓 over everything else. We will be back for the dome experience on a bright clear day. The view from inside was amazing too 🙌 for 3 people we spent $200 plus Valet charges with tips 2 appetizer, 2 drinks, 3 mains

Right by the river with a quiet, relaxing vibe perfect for a casual meal or drinks on the patio. You can hear the river, watch people walk by on the trails, and just unwind.

Food-wise, it’s good but not life-changing. Drinks were solid, nothing crazy, but refreshing.

Service was friendly but a little slow, probably because the patio was packed. Staff still made sure we were checked on, so no complaints.

Prices are on the higher side, but nothing outrageous. Will go back only for that view.

We arrived to Edmonton late evening and needed a place to eat. Our server (Leon) was great... Checked if we wanted to relax with our drinks first or get food ordered. The meal was good (I had the swordfish... Very tasty. Not a huge serving but it was perfect for me). We shared the baked chocolate chip cookie for dessert... It was great. (Takes 15 minutes to bake, but that let out dinner digest and time to enjoy the outdoor ambiance). Good experience.

Food and atmosphere was really great! It's a beautiful hotel with a stunning patio. However, our server Angelo wasn't very friendly, and didn't even take our drink order. We had to ask to order drinks and slammed our waters down on the table while handing us our menus. I would understand rushed behavior if the restaurant was busy, but there was only one couple at the bar, and a party of four sitting behind us. I would come back for the food, but the service really didn't make this meal enjoyable.

The patio at the Riverside Bistro has an incredible view of the river. I made a reservation for a graduation celebration at 12:45 pm and confirmed we would be there but no preparation for a table for six was arranged. We had to help push the tables together when someone did finally take notice of us and take us to the patio. The service was not attentive other than we did have our water well taken care of. I ordered the Brussel sprout Waldorf Salad and it had a serious bagged supermarket salad vibe but the other meals ordered were fair. They also charged us an automatic 18% gratuity despite our group being 6 where the menu states over 6 at least this is what is shown online. Then our server was giving the impression that this was necessary due to how much harder the kitchen had to work to plate our food. Also chose his words in a way that made out that it was not a gratuity implying one was still due. The restaurant was not busy in any way and no one was putting in any additional effort. The thing I cannot understand is why it was so blah there when they have one of the best views in the city. This was our second visit here. Our first visit was for supper and it was much better service and the food was good so maybe they try harder for the supper patrons?

We went here for an earl dinner.
We waited over 1 hour for food
At least 30 minutes for one appetizer.
The waitress didn’t ask if we wanted another drink we had to ask her.
The fish n chips weren’t want I thought it wasn’t cod
Probably pollack.
The rest got the steak sandwich it was good.
The appetizer was good had to ask for more nane bread.
Had to ask the waitress to hurry up with our order.
The view was stunning.
You need to get a different cook and waitresses.
Won’t recommend This place to anyone.
Maybe for a drink and appetizers you will wait a long time.
Pro better to go to the McDonald hotel patio.
At least they will be quicker.
