Waited an hour plus for food. Gave coffee for free though

my friends and i went in today to get some brunch and some drinks. we had another table sitting next to us that came in at the same time and they received their food first and we did not receive ours until half an hour after them. when the food came out you can tell it had been sitting in the window for quite a while. we do work in the industry and it’s obvious when something has been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. when we asked the server about it she was quite rude, she did not apologize and exclaimed we received our food late because she “had to make our drinks”. the interactions with getting our bills was quite awkward, she then proceeded to talk about us to someone sitting at her bar and whoever she was talking about us to made us uncomfortable by staring at us while we finished our drinks. needless to say we’re extremely disappointed. i love this restaurant and the atmosphere but experience was not ideal.

My wife and I went there for the first time for lunch. The atmosphere was great(a group of musicians were playing). We ordered a sandwich and a greek salad. Food was very good. We had a good chat with the owner who was extremely pleasant. Overall we rate our experience as top notch. I would definitely recommend this restaurant....

I had the Cheesecake Stuffed French Toast and OH MY GOODNESS! The best!!! Partner had the Grilled Cheese and could not believe how good a sandwich could be. Definitely gained some returning customers!

Oh this is a tough place to review. Things can either be a hit or a miss.
Poutine is always top tier, but everything else seems to fall short. Avocado toast is laughable, seriously. For the price I would expect 3 avocados worth of spread, but the reality is closer to 1/4 of one avocado. The mixed greens were pretty wilted when I got this item, but I think that was because I ordered this in April when it was still out of season.
The poutine, though? PHENOMENAL! Everything about the brisket poutine is absolutely to die for! Shared with two friends and we regretted not getting one for each of us.
Rooster shines in its comfort food, but if your comfort food is leafy greens, then maybe find another spot. If your comfort food is poutine or anything truly warm and cozy? Run, don’t walk!

Very lovely restaurant with very pleasant staff. Was a little bit pricey but for the quality and quantity it's definitely worth it! Atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely aswell :) Definitely would come again and would recommend!
Came in early on a Wednesday for brunch. So no lines or space issues. Had the Iron skillet. Brisket was tasty on top of the hash potatoes. Enjoyed it, and the mimosa. Latte was a bit too “runny” for my liking. Rahim was friendly and engaging.

Tried this place out as it looked nice and there wasn’t too many people in it and boy were we disappointed. Food was not great! I mean bad! I ordered the avocado toast and it was just awful. Waitress was good and compt half my order as she said they get complaints over the avocado toast a lot. Husband ordered the clubhouse and his was very small and lacked serious tastiness, he said it was very bland and needed some tlc. We will not go back and do not recommend.
