We came in this morning as my daughter attend U of A and I am in the city visiting. Decided to try a spot near the U of A and this place is such a sweet vibe. Lighting and furnishings make the stay cozy. We tried the Early bird special $11.50 between 9-10 AM. Bacon, 2 eggs, potatoes, and toast. I'd like to give this place full marks for it's breakfast, but a few things hold it back. The serving size is a bit on the small size, I wouldn't call it inexpensive (expect to pay around $20 per person before tip), and the service isn't fast. That being said, the food is really good and the server was friendly and attentive. I'd recommend it, especially the toast. It's a weird thing to recommend, but it's shockingly good toast.
Rooster Kitchen is a community hub. They put people first. The owner cares about musicians and brings them together. This is especially important in the winter time in Edmonton . This is how a bar/cafe becomes an institution and I think it already is an institution here in Edmonton. The atmosphere is welcoming to all. An important venue in Edmonton .
