The dish they are known for, the gluten free fried chicken, was soggy and bland. Chicken wings were undercooked while others were overcooked. Nachos were what you'd expect from a small town dive bar. We ordered dessert and couldn't eat it. The frosting on the carrot cake tasted like they just smeared a block of cream cheese on it (no vanilla or sugar, just bitter cream cheese). The rhubarb crumble was ok but slimy. So much hype for this place and it was empty at 6:30 on a Friday. 0 people in the dining room and about 5 tables in the piano bar. We will never be back.

I came here to have breakfast while my car was getting an oil change. It was perfect.

The Royal Coach Dining Room is an old standby. Pre-Covid, we'd go for Sunday brunch on birthdays, mother's day, father's day, etc. This was our first time back in over four years. Nothing has changed--for better or worse.

I won't describe the foods. You can check out the brunch menu for each week online, but it's really the same things: fruit, cheeses, cold veggies, eggs Benedict, a couple of hot meat entrees, waffles, and an omelette station, where you can get a custom-made omelette to your liking. The food is good; somehow, they manage to keep the waffles crispy in a steam tray.

The one problem they haven't addressed is ventilation. The omelette station is tucked into a corner of the dining room and there's no ventilation for it. This means that whatever you're wearing is going to smell like omelette and will have to be washed or dry-cleaned. Be warned. It's disappointing that they haven't done anything about this in years. (Isn't this some kind of hazard? If you have asthma, take your inhalers along.)

The other aspect of "atmosphere" that's relevant is the noise level. I couldn't hear if they had music playing in the background. Maybe they did, but you couldn't hear it over the din of the other patrons.

The prices are a bit high, which is the main reason we only come here rarely, for special occasions. The $42 they charge is nowhere near the high-end of La Ronde ($60); L2 Grill is $49, but they offer crab legs. (I've heard the Atrium Cafe brunch is $65, which is bonkers if it's true.) I think the most similar comparison is with the Sawmill's Carvery Brunch, which is only $35. On the low end is Buffet Royale at only $28.

The prices of buffets are a sore spot with me, as all my family members have small appetites. One daughter had exactly one waffle with whipped cream and some fruit. That's it. That's all she could eat. She's over 12 so that cost me $42.

Service is always friendly and accommodating, never pushy or rushed.

Went for lunch with daughters and a friend. Reason for choosing here was all the great certified Gluten Free options for my Daughter. But we all enjoyed our meals. I would say the only meal that might not have 5 out of 5 was mine as my Reuben sandwich was good but missed the tang of 1000 island or Russian dressing on there but that was it. Desserts are all delicious and GF plus the coffee was fresh and good.
We will go back to check out the buffet next time.

The staff are all so friendly and kind. The buffet was delicious, and all gluten free, which you would never know unless told. Even the deserts were gluten free and you'd never guess it. They were delicious. My only small complaint is the there was only fish and beef served. The beef was a bit tough, and I'm not much of a fish eater. Chicken would have been a nice alternative. I would return. Overall, a very delicious meal.

We were seated in the lounge because the table reserved for us in the dining room was still occupied when we got there. We liked our experience there very much, and Tracy looked after us very well. We will be back.

The food was disgusting. Mushrooms risotto was under cooked. Roast beef was not roast beef just chucks of undercooked beef. There were no dessert left and found a hair in my dish. Sever took upon herself to deal with the situation and never called on a manger. If you are under staff like you said you were. Why do except reservations when you can't take on customer. Will never go back to this place and will never refer you to anyone else.

The dining room is very dated and has a strange odor. Most of the customers were seniors, so the food was pretty bland and simple. The food was okay. Not a huge selection for dessert. The clamato used in our Caesars was watered down. Our server was kind of a dick, but whatever. Was it worth $49? No.

I really wanted this to be a good Easter buffet. Here is what was good. Staff. Attentive to refilling overpopulated buffet. Kind and friendly. Here's what needs work. Booking. They overbooked. People were mad. Vocal heated discussions held near our table that we had to hear. Ruined any hope of a nice evening. Food lineup. The buffet set up was on one side only so the line moves at a snails pace. It is situated in a corner alcove near the entrance so people were crowded around the food mingling with people who were waiting to be seated and snaking through a labyrinth of tables already seated eating their food. It was chaotic, classless, pandemonium. A hillbilly hoedown would have had better seating / food line separation. Overcooked / precooked food. Some dishes were literally mush. Move the buffet station to the center of the room and make it double sided. Put tables in the tight alcove. Don't overbook. Have your staff take belligerent angry customers take there conversations away from non participant patrons.

We tried the Saturday Roast Beef Buffet. Fantastic food. The roast beef was delicious. Well seasoned and you could get well done to rare. The buffet had very good quality and selection. The staff are exceptional. Go for a wonder experience and truly great food.

Had a great time here. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Waitress was awesome and down to earth. Food was top notch, buffet items were high quality, fresh and delicious...and the best roast beef I've ever had. Quiet atmosphere in the dining room. Two lounges to choose from for an after meal drink. Great way to spend the evening.

Very enjoyable. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was impressive. The popcorn ceiling was a little distracting with everything else going on. The service was also really good.

The food and choices were fresh and tasty. The only food item missing was the omelette station that we always look forward to at breakfast brunch. Not sure what happened but hope it's available the next time we bring our family for Sunday brunch.

Was expecting a set menu as per the reservation (we wanted a fancy dinner experience) and was given the regular menu, told that the website is outdated. Also expected full menu to be gf but it was not. Food came out like it had been sitting under heat lamps for a long time with a film on top of the soup and the beef on the nachos was super dried out on top. Over charged $1 for a cocktail but I didn't have it in me to argue for the dollar.
