Went on valentines day and me and my girlfriend thought the place had good music and lighting which added to the experience. The place was a little tight, being very compact but the food, cocktails and service we're all great.

I've been meaning to try out Sodo for awhile and I'm happy to report that it lived up to my expectations! I met up with a friend around 5:30 for an early dinner on a Thursday night and we were the only people there. I was surprised as I'd heard reservations are recommended as it can get busy. It turns out we were just early though. By the time we left a couple hours later, the place had filled up with a large group who were clearly regulars. The vibe completely changed from a quiet dinner spot to a great hangout venue. I'd definitely like to come back on a Friday to see how it feels when it's really busy. They have a fairly small food menu but it has a few options for vegetarians to choose from. The spicy habanero pasta was on special and I really enjoyed it. I also tried 2 of their house cocktails, both of which happened to be set on fire tableside in some capacity. The War & Peace was my favourite - scotch, bourbon, St. Germain, and cherry whiskey, smoked with applewood - very smooth and smoky.

We went here for a quick bite to eat before our Halloween activities. It is super fun inside. The ambiance is cool without trying to be. Love the mural. Small place though and I imagine on weekends it would be really loud. Our server happened to be the owner as well. He was prompt and friendly. He treated us well. Tonnes of amazing cocktails on the menu. I think I will try a different cocktail every time I go. There is one for everyone. Menu is short but has something for everyone there too. I decided on the Warm Mushroom Salad which contained a Mushroom Medley, with a Shallot, Rose Water, & Elderflower Liqueur Vinaigrette and the Spicy Rigatoni with Habanero Rose Sauce. My husband went with Braised Chuck Flatserved on fresh grits, glazed in demi. Cocktails were carefully crafted and the food came out in a timely manner. Food was excellent. The mushroom salad was full of flavour and cooked properly. The spicy rigatoini was excellent with just enough heat from the habanero sauce. However, the real start was the braised chuck which melted with a tap of the fork. The grits were well cooked and a good accompaniment. We were stuffed but I would like to try thier desserts in the future. Cocktail prices were high but in the same price range as other fancy cocktail bars. The food prices were the same as many other places but with higher quality. Definately try this place out. I am looking forward to my next visit.

My visit to SODO on Jasper was unplanned but it ended up being the best vibe and experience of my trip! A business friend and I were out on a walk when we randomly stumbled upon SODO - we walked by, felt the energy and decided to stop I'm "for a quick drink to check it out!" .... little did we know we were walking into the coolest little spot in Edmonton, with one helluva bartender / Dj! I'm not sure I've ever had a bartender magically mix up drinks in such a thought out, educated and fun way. Super fresh & top shelf ingredients, infused with the type of energy you never forget! SODO instantly made it to my top "must go" places in YEG when you want to get some good eats, good dranks & good vibes!

Freakin' LOVE their sandwiches. My favourites so far are the Jason Mamoa and Papi, but I'm looking to slowly making my way through the rest of the menu. They offer both pick-up and dine in options, and the interior is nice. However, if you're on lunch during the work week and tight on time, I'd definitely recommend calling and placing an order 20 minutes in advance.

Great food and great cocktails. Got the Jason Momoa and the Johnny boy sandwiches. Both were delish. Bartender whipped up a pretty awesome Caesar. Highly recommend!

Found this little gem on a quick stop over in Edmonton. On the main drag, it has parking outside and easy to get to.The main reason we came, is because it has some amazing sounding cocktails. This night, the bartender suggested a special pork fat and cherry smoked whiskey with an orange twill. It was amazing.....smooth, sweet cherry and orange warmed the throat. Perfect for the -15 weather outside! We also ordered the passionfruit cocktail and it was delicious. For those friends who prefer a sweeter and bright easy to drink cocktail, this is a must try.I also ordered a suggested glass of red wine and was suggested an easy to drink Spanish red.The bartender knows what he's talking about and you can tell he's passionate about what he does. The atmosphere is dark and quiet, a perfect place for a girls night out to gossip and vent.Hopefully we will be able to go back one day!

I've been here twice now and really love it! The drinks are pricey but they are above and beyond delicious. The food is small portions, we ordered nachos and short ribs for 2 people and we had to order a flatbread pizza after because we were still hungry. It was all really good though. it's the perfect spot to have a little snack and an amazing cocktail! Also we had to take some selfies in the bathroom area because it's super cute, the whole wall is grass and flowers. I recommend this place!
