Sawmill Prime Rib & Steak House

Very well organised and welcoming spot. They serve big meals and for inexpensive rates. We loved the meals a lot and the waiters were super personal and informative. I recommend this place.

Easily my favourite restaurant and where I will take my friends. Friendly and attentive staff, wonderful food ... their buffet was easily one of the best that I had encountered and I hope to see it restarted again at a time that is appropriate after the restrictions are lifted!

Celebrated Dad at 84 years young at The Sawmill Capilano last night... excellent food, awesome service n how sweet ... a complimentary birthday dessert for the birthday boy ?. Thank you - we will be back!!

Did not know if we had to wait to be seated till we walked into bar side they said they would have to get someone to seat us ...waiter was exceptional and the food tasted great and my co workers looked amazing as well.

Ordered a Sawmill burger with sweet potato fries and both were delicious! The pretzel bun with the burger was a nice touch. The server was friendly and attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. It was also fairly empty when we went which made distancing much easier.

This was my first time here, came for lunch and ordered the beef braised lettuce wraps and Cobb salad. This was one of the most disappointing meals I've had in a while. We got 3 lettuce leaves for our lettuce wraps, some beef and a pile of rice. The salad looked like a half size and didn't appear fresh at all. Will just head over to the BPs next door next time.

Service in the bar was GOD-AWFUL! Took forever for anyone to take our order and then they got it wrong. There were only 5 tables but we still waited and waited to be served. A total of 4 different staff members waited on us which made no sense at all. With less than 20 people in the bar, they still got confused. Our meal and drink orders were totally messed up and the manager was rude and unwilling to apologize for what was really terrible service. I teach hospitality management and this was a case study in how NOT to do it. Sadly, this was our second, poor experience at the Capilano Sawmill. Avoid!!!

I'm an Ontario native and have been traveling to Alberta for work and will be taking up residence here very soon. I thought Sawmills was going to be a quick pit stop for dinner and a beer but it turned out to be my new home away from home. I met Tyco (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) on my first stop in and enjoyed his quiet dry wit and prompt service. Later I chatted with the server Jordan and was pummeled by her positive, bombastic personality. JP the very talented cook has a heart of gold and excellent hair. Cory is a gentleman and a scholar with a flair for theatrics. Liz, was always backing up her staff and I could quickly tell she was the mother of the team and exuded a very caring energy. Then theres Trinity, who absolutely made me feel like a regular even thought I have only visited a handful of times. Her impeccable service came with heavy helping of sass and charm even though I keep ordering the same thing over and over (by the way the wings are great). I also found my new Alberta family in Bernie and his lovely wife and sister.I have never experienced such a welcoming environment like this before and every member of the staff deserves a big fat raise, new cars and endless adult beverages.Came for the wings, stayed for the company. 10/10P.s. happy birthday Trinity.

Wonderful meal! Fantastic service! Manager stopped by and chatted with us, she made us feel very welcome. 6/5 stars! Will be back for sure!

Had a awesome experience here with my friend. The food comes quickly and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are reasonable.

EDIT: Brianna is the best waitress and a very polite, kind, energetic beautiful young lady...10 years from now...she will be high flying....thanks for the great service Brianna...changing my opinion of the service
