Love this place for sticking it out in Edmonton! I know they’ve had to move, and have tried to operate in a couple different capacities and in a world of closing vegan restaurants, I’m just so happy they are still here. Just ate for the first time at this location away from the food hall for a late Sunday night meal. The team was welcoming and gave us a a few pointers on other vegan spots to check out. We had the Big Mac Po Boy, Caesar Salad, honey hot wings, mini corn dogs, and fries supreme. The Caesar salad and the fries supreme were my favourite, and the fries were a last minute decision. The queso on them is sooo yummy, no clue what it’s made out of. The Caesar was amazing, I asked if the Parmesan was grated violife wedge and was stunned to learn it was homemade out of sunflower seeds. Tasted and appeared just like violife, I’m so impressed. The seitan was of course chefs kiss, and the protein we needed after a day of travelling, but the fries and the caesar salad just hit. The ice cubes were a nice shape and the water glasses were nice (I get the ick from restaurant water quite often).

The sourdough pizzas are amazing! We had the special Thanksgiving pizza and the Dill Pickle and both were absolutely delicious

What a fun and delightful place! You will fall into planning your order for the second visit there are many good options. Salads, Snacks, Po Boys/ sandwiches, pizza, corndogs, nachos and poutine.  Service was incredibly fast in a very busy restaurant. You can ask about ingredients and the history of the place. This popped up on Happy Cow while we were traveling to Edmonton and we had to stop. The branding and Seitan logos were adorable; THEY DO have stickers. Actual real deal punk veg life vibes from the humans running the place. Absolutely love it. So pure go support them. Attn: Health conscious / bodybuilders: healthier options like the "Slaw" broccoli and salads are available. I hate being on a training plan and not able to eat out, there's lots of good options here.

Came here as visiting Edmonton for the Labour Day weekend. Woman who served me was incredibly friendly and helpful :) unfortunately didn’t get her name but she was so cool!!! food was amazing and great value for the amount I got and portion sizes!!! Would definitely return if I lived closer to the city. Thank you!!!

Affordable, filling vegan pub fare. Everything I've ever had there was great, but definitely get the thick crust pizza, if it's not all gone by the time you get there.

This location is brand new and open early to mid August 2025. This is a new location for the owner. It was previously next door as Die Pie and a delivery only kitchen. They have their liquor licence and serve beer on tap, and will soon have a cocktail menu. You can also buy vegan sauce and cheese to take home.

Their menu features pizzas, sandwiches, fry dishes, salads, and appetizers. All of which is vegan. Most meat substitutes are seitan, a protein made from wheat, or mushrooms. All the cheese is vegan and made in house. They have gluten free options available for everything.

The menu includes some eye catching items like oyster mushroom Po boy, Korean-Hawaiian pizza, pickle pizza, and seitan wings. On Thursdays they offer thick crusts for the pizza.

This was my first visit and I ordered the pickle pizza. It's a dill white sauce on sourdough crust, vegan mozzarella and feta, pickled jalapenos, onions, and cucumbers. Its a refreshing flavor. I'm not vegan, so I found the consistency of the cheese a bit weird, soft, almost like a flour and water mixture, not a lot of flavour. The pickles were tasty with good crunch. The crust is BANGIN! Seriously, the sourdough crust is so good. As a whole, the bite is quite good, and above average for vegan, I'm sure.

The server was very friendly and explained what their ingredients were and how the cheese was made. He even showed me a few of the other pizzas as they came out of the oven. I'd recommend coming here with friends to try multiple menu items.

Definitely my go to place for plant based comfort food. Absolutely killer kale ceaser salad, and I loved the Big Mack po boy.
Also really enjoyed having the tiramisu. It was super light, but also rich tasting at the same time.
Portions are generous, and I’m definitely full.

Easily one of my favourite restaurants anywhere. There’s not a single item on the menu that disappoints me. I’m drooling thinking about their pizzas.

Love, love, love this place. Great vegan food, great service and options here at 5th Street food hall for my less enlightened friends if they want to eat meat instead of Vegan ?

Vegetarian options: Everything at Seitans is Vegan, and delicious!

Edit: I didn't realize Seitan's had moved location! Love the new place, Die Pie is also in the same location! Still great food, great staff, and all around good time!Seitan's a little special having a 100% vegan menu, and honestly the fried "chickun" (seitan) is quite honestly pretty amazing! Thier items boast a lot of bold flavours, and if you didn't know, you wouldn't even realize it's vegan! My favourite definitely was the loaded tots!Staff was really friendly and much lovely to interact with. Thanks!
