Delicious buns. The staff is friendly and there is a decent selection of baked goods. There was a tour going on when I visited and they said the owners were from Vancouver. This bakery is not quite up to the Kam Do or Saint Germain in Metro Vancouver as far as choice or quality but they are good none the less.

Visited Shan Shan Bakery as part of CTC's Sweet Side of Chinatown tour. They gave us some of their mochi filled with red bean paste and winter melon bun/pastry to try. Both were really good, but the mochi was my favourite.

The workers were very friendly and the prices of baked good very reasonable. I'm looking forward to visiting again and trying some of their other desserts.

Bring cash. Shan Shan is my go to bakery for buns. Everything tastes so good. The BBQ pork buns here are a lot better then the other bakery's. I find the buns are generally filled with more then other places as well, the buns are soft and sweet just how they should be.
Sometimes they run out of stuff but I'm ok with that, the pork/shrimp fried dumplings are usually the ones that I fidn someone else got to before I did. But everything else is great, so I...
