You have to pay $1 extra for them to drizzle lukewarm Campbell's tomato soup over the most pathetic little lumps of plain white rice held together with cabbage cut so thin its translucent. The sauerkraut is just brown flavorless mush. The perogies are decent, but there is no bacon, onions, or butter. It's a pity that they're cutting so many corners because this used to be an amazing spot, but the plate of unseasoned beige slop they gave me tonight was disgusting. Save your money and go to Uncle Ed's.

The food was mediocre at best. If you’re used to home Ukrainian cooking you’re going to be disappointed.We added bacon and onions to the order for an additional $11 and got a small side container that should have been maximum an extra 2-3 dollars!

Just tried this Ukrainian food for the 1st time at a wedding yesterday and it was such a delicious meal! I come from a Ukrainian family, and I truly enjoyed this meal. Highly recommend!

We ordered on skip and we got a maxi plate with 8 items. Everything we got was bite size, not enough to even feed one person. The cabbage rolls were tasteless and the nalysnky cream tasted like regular everyday coffee cream. I paid almost 30$ for something with 8$ how
The kielbasa was delicious but the cabbage rolls were terrible! They were tiny and flavorless...and I would have to pay extra for the sauce!I have Ukrainian relatives...I know how this food should taste!!If you want to stay in business, find a way to make tasting better food and don't be so cheap with the sauce, rhe size of the cabbage rolls, and the rest of the toppings!

Awful, I had food from here years ago and was quite good. I honestly can't believe how bad it was 2 days ago. A piece of soggy skinned chicken that was undercooked so I couldn't eat it. Cabbage rolls were dried right out and had a taste I can't identify. I ate 2 perogies off my almost 15 dollar plate. So disappointing as I had a quick craving for Ukrainian food. Never again. I'll make my own.

I used to live in Edmonton and my friends and I were talking about our favourite restaurants. When I brought up Shumka, everyone agreed! I lived on Jasper Ave and had to take 3 buses to get there, but it was well worth it. Now I live in the US and it would be several more buses I'd have to take, but I'll tell ya what: it would be worth it. The food is delicious, abundant and fresh. Someone is using their Baba's recipes and it shows.

Definitely could be better or easier ordering wise. But the nice lady helped me through and the food was delicious especially after only having the typical fast food for the past week. Went back for seconds. Highly recommend
