We went into SPK for a meal, table of 4. Excellent food but what made our experience extra special was the attentive service from Fernando. He recommended all three courses based on our likes/dislikes and nailed it. Highly recommend SPK, ask for Fernando.

I came to SPK to celebrate a birthday and had a horrible experience. Firstly they took forever to bring us water or ask our drink order, we arrived at 8pm and only got drinks at 8:30ish. We ordered the calamari which also took forever to come out and was sub par at most and cold upon arrival to the table. Our dinners took over an hour and a half to come out which was disappointing given that we were a table of 2 and they’re were only 2 other small tables there when we ordered. We ordered the lasagna (not the best) and the penne con pollo e Pancetta, the penne was good.
The service was disgraceful, no attention to the customer; no urgency, no check in. Fernando was ok I would give his service 5/10, however there was another server there and she was HORRIBLE. Super unfriendly, unwelcoming, and unhelpful.
If you’re expecting to make a special day even more special I would not recommend going to SPK, they don’t do anything at all to acknowledge special occasions (according to Fernando the waiter).

Food was good!! Waitress was ok
She didn’t look too impressed to service us it was busy on a Sunday night
When we arrived the hostess came to the door she asked if we had reservations we said no didn’t know we needed, it was our first time here she gave us a weird look and then we asked oh do we need a reservation she said well ya we’re busy so we were about to walk out and she then said well I guess I’ll seat you guys cause I can’t kick you out!! sat us at a table and dropped the menus and walked away
After we ate and we were waiting for our bill we were ignored by everyone for about 20 min I finally called our server over and asked for the bill she came back with the bill and left us with the debit machine and walked away when she returned we got no thank you have a great night nothing
Maybe learn some customer service

We just had a lovely dinner at the downtown Sicilian Pasta Kitchen (SPK) -our first time at the downtown location and we weren’t disappointed! Our waiter, Fernando, was great - just the right amount of interaction, very pleasant and attentive 😁 The food was excellent as we had anticipated it would be - a wonderful place for a nice dinner out!

Ordered take out. The spaghetti and meatballs were ok - big portion but the sauce had no flavour and tasted like it came from a jar. Is it naive for me to expect homemade for the prices they charge?
The big issue was the meatballs made me sick. They didn’t smell very good or look all that fresh; should’ve taken the hint. I am questioning food safety and/or how long they are storing meat… $42 for pasta and a salad I am really surprised.
The arugula salad was fantastic, however. I won’t order food from here again but I would only recommend salad. 1 star for offering me a miserable experience but 1 additional star for the salad which was good.

Group of 6 sat down at 5 and we ordered our mains, no appetizers. Tables around us that arrived 45 minutes after us received their appetizers and mains before we did. Our waitress was aware and gave a weak explanation as to why. There was a definite breakdown between us and the kitchen. The food was subpar and we had the take away boxes brought out immediately because we were late for our event. This is the second time we have been dissatisfied with SPK downtown. Never again. If you go, be prepared to do half the work tracking down your order.

Awesome night and place. We had a bigger table of 8 and everything was executed perfectly and everything qas nice and hot and tasted amazing!
The donuts are to die for, the lasagna is also huge and big enough to enjoy the rest of the week!
Dee was our server and she was amazing and polite and very professional. Will be back!

All around a pretty solid place to go for a nice night out with a date. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly.
I quite enjoyed the food, with my seafood being cooked perfectly. The only reason this isn't a 5-star spot is that I found the sauces to be a bit bland, needing a bit more salt, pepper, and creamy-ness.

This was our first time at Sicilian’s and was a very deeply disappointing experience. We chose this restaurant for a low-key birthday dinner, hoping for a pleasant evening out. What we received was the polar opposite. While the food was mediocre, the sole experience was defined by the total vacuum of service. The overall atmosphere was set at the beginning when the workers expressions seemed blank and gave miserable energy. When our server arrived at the table, we were not greeted at all. When we tried to engage by asking for a recommendation from the menu, the response felt dismissive and was unhelpful. This disinterest defined the whole night for our birthday dinner celebration.
After settling the bill, we walked to the front door and past several employees and not a single expression of gratitude or acknowledgment was given.
Final thoughts: An unhappy staff makes for a miserable guest experience. This wasn't just bad service; it was a total collapse of the fundamentals of dining out—engagement, care, and a semblance of welcome. We tried to give this place a shot throughout the night but unfortunately still failed.

They use to make great meat lasagna, lots of meat. I bought one a few days ago, it was the worse lasagna I ever had, barely any meat, the pasta was squashed together with nothing in between it. It was hard to cut through the pasta. Never going there again
