We showed up about 8:15pm, visiting from BC,, they took us in and cooked up awesome fish and chips even tjo they closed at 830pm , we had halibut, portions were enormous and service was really good , very friendly staff , absolutely loved the decor and tapestrys on the wall holding information of my specific bloodline and heritage,. Definitely give a 5 star review, they also have a good food truck that drives around so hats off to you guys , must be so hot in there! Highly recommended

The fish as well as the chips didn't really have a taste. Ieven think they water down the malt vinegar. The mushy peas were the worst I've had, they were also tasteless. We were done with our meal when the server came over and asks if everything was good. We were explaining to her when she goes ok I'll get your bill. We said separate bills. She comes back to the table and asks do you want separate bills...lol. it's like she talking right from a script. Enough said I'll never be back...

My cousins and I met at Winston Fish and Chips for lunch on Saturday. The food was excellent just too.much of it. The service was excellent. We stayed there for 4 hours visiting and the staff were so kind about it. So nice to be able to do that when we all live North, South or West of Edmonton 1 - 1/2 to 2 -1/2 hour drives. You ROCK!!!

Placed an online order at lunchtime, staff seemed confused when I told them I had an order to pickup and did a bit of running around before getting my food.
Fish was good (little bit heavy on the batter but that is a preference thing) Fries were decent but nothing mind-blowing
Overall a good experience but just expect the online ordering to be a bit confusing :)

Absolutely unacceptable experience today. My spouse was served a lukewarm bowl of what tasted like Campbell's clam chowder with stale crackers for 10.00. The added insult was the wait for the chowder, which came 10-15 minutes after the rest of the meals for the table.
Honestly, this place has been in a slow and steady decline and they've stopped making their fries in house.
We've been patrons for many years but tonight was our last visit.

Absolutely amazing food, like all fish take out might not be as good when you get home, but to have it fresh from the kitchen and the speed you get it. So worth the trip in. Probably the best in town.
So I ordered takeout. I expected the fish to be quite good as any fish and chips place should be. BUT the fish ended up still exceeding my expectation by a lot. I thought the price was a bit much but after tasting their food, I get it. I totally get it. I also tried their deep fried Oreos and they did not disappoint. Would definitely come back and likely will soon.
