Smitty's Restaurant & Lounge - Edmonton Westmount

Worst restaurant experience in ages. Went with family for a family day lunch and the waitress was rude, no smile and no eye contact . The family felt insulted and looked upon and complained to the manager very specific.

However the manager simply ignore it, no offer to change the waitress or apologies. We will never be going to this place.

I dined in during their slow hour and ordered a veal cutlet with mashed potatoes smothered in gravy and vegetables. For the price point, it was worth it. The taste quality is reminiscent of an old diner yet the portions are smaller than your average Boston Pizza across the parking lot. I can't say too much about the staff here as their English speaking capability and comprehension was somewhat basic but they managed to guide me through their week deals.

They have a steal of a deal with the fish and chips for $10 dine in and online order (don't know how long it will last, so get it while it's hot); the batter isn't beer based but it has just enough crunch, fluff, and oil and the fries aren't over salted or dripping in oil, either; they also have an 'all-you-can-eat fish and chip day' too for a flat rate price of under $20. A local gem for budget eaters who aren't looking to over stuff themselves (breakfast or lunch time) and want to do a bit of shopping without too many people sitting around.

Hands down my favorite family style/all day breakfast restaurant in Edmonton. I have frequented Smitty's at Westmount for 2 years now and I am always highly satisfied with their food and service. Hence me being a regular customer there now. Well worth the money given their food portions and daily specials. The quality and taste of the food is always delicious in my opinion. Family style comfort food at it's best!!!
Thanks to their staff for always providing quality and efficient service! Kudos to the team I've come to know so well... including Maricel, Caroline, Pam, Michelle, Marco & Mel ?

Pamela is an awesome waitress she does her job with care and kindness. The staff are all amazing. The food is great and the restaurant is very clean. The bathrooms need an upgrade.
