Smitty's Family Restaurant - Edmonton West End

Went to the WE Smitty's for the first time today, I used to be a regular at the Westmount location. I order the turkey dinner and there are only 2 things that would have made it better. Draft beer and a dinner bun, service was great. To bad it's only open until 8pm so no watching Oilers evening games here.

We had a great server! The food was great!

It's been a bit since I've been at Smitty's and it still has that lovely family feel. It was nice to see familiar faces from the Travel Lodge. I can't wait to go back. Keep up the professional and friendly work and dedication!

Food was hot and tasty. Prices were as reasonable as they get these days. We were part of a group and they had a separate table just for the kids. I wish more places did that. There were several similar groups so that seems to be a popular idea. We'll go back.

Smitty’s at Stony Plain Road is my go-to comfort spot.

The food always hits—tender steak, creamy mashed potatoes, and the crispiest fried pickles with three amazing dips. Everything tastes homemade but better.

But what really keeps me coming back? Abi, Shari, and Yunni. Their service is impeccable—genuine, kind, and full of heart. You don’t just feel served here—you feel seen.

Big love to the kitchen too (Rem, you’re a star 🌟) for putting soul into every plate.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for food that feeds both your body and your spirit.

Not fancy, but good food and very nice people serving. We found this place by accident. We will definitely be back.

Checked out the new location in Quality Inn.
Sat after waiting at the entrance for minutes without any notice.

Took a couple of minutes to get menus.

Then, there was no attention for at least 15 minutes. We finally got coffee served around 20 minutes.
Another 10-15 minutes to take our order.
Coffee refilled after the cup was empty for a bit.
Waved to one of the staff to add to our order. Looked at us directly and then cleaned 3 tables, ignoring us totally.
The food was okay. Not warm, not cold.
The space was very noisy, for only about 45 percent full.
Then we waited to get attention to pay our bill.

Not asked for the My Smitty's rewards info. No offer from staff of the contest for the new location I saw on the Smitty's website when looking for the new address.

We have enjoyed other Smitty's often. This was our worst time.
Will not return to that location.

Excellent service & amazing food! Went on a Wednesday and had their fish & chips because of their daily special. Wait time was not too long & the food was nice and hot. Very friendly staff as well 😊

Incredible food and went on a Wednesday, all you can eat fries and fish! The fish is incredible would have more but I need to head out but I will remember to come to Smittys and not the Dennys across the street; which got a less than favorable review from me due to them not even giving me water or taking my order for a long time. Smittys staff did such a good job in comparison that I would make sure to come back on Wednesdays cause wow this fish is delish!

Restaurant is closed.

Ordered 3 eggs, toast, and coffee. They charged me $21. Absolutely ridiculous.

Crackheads outside, and unhoused people with subsidized rooms stay at the Travelodge and hang directly outside the restaurant, panhandling.

I regret supporting this business. Don’t make my mistake.
