Our dinner at Sorrentino's Downtown was an unforgettable experience… from the moment we walked in, the warm ambient lighting and elegant decor set the stage for a memorable evening. We started with bruschetta and calamari which were cooked perfectly, crisp and full of flavour. Our mains of seafood linguine and veal piccata were delectable, with pasta cooked al dente and sauces that were rich and balanced. The wine list was impressive and our server recommended a smooth Chianti that complemented the meal beautifully. Service was attentive yet unobtrusive; the staff checked in to make sure we had everything we needed without rushing us. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed which made it easy to enjoy conversation. Dessert was a highlight; the tiramisu and creme brulee were both creamy and indulgent and provided a wonderful finish to the meal. Overall Sorrentino's delivered on every level and we left feeling satisfied and eager to return. Highly recommended for date nights, celebrations or any occasion when you want to treat yourself to outstanding Italian cuisine.

Great food, pasta was perfect (imo).
Great service and once inside, the place makes you forget of the poor state of the surroundings outside.

Our server was good. The food was tasty. But the super creepy manager/owner? Is disgusting. I understand that he is an older man. Probably close to 80. He could see his staff struggling and just wondered around aimlessly. I could here him yelling at his staff which was disturbing. But what really turned off my guests and myself was his constant, almost to the point of sexual harassment, flirting. He was just luring over all the women in the restaurant. It made us feel uncomfortable and will never return. He should spend more time being a proper manager and help his staff. And less time creeping out women. Or just do everyone a favour and retire

Great place for a quick lunch. Lots of flavour, cheap “lunch special” options and very clean. Quiet options as well

A heartfelt thank you and deep admiration for the incredible help and flawless organization of my friend’s birthday celebration. The atmosphere throughout the restaurant was truly delightful — warm, welcoming, and elegant.
A huge thank you to the entire Sorrentino’s team for the delicious food and beautifully presented cocktails. Every dish was a work of art, and the service was outstanding — polite, professional, and attentive. Everything was absolutely top-level!
Special thanks to Alboreggia Alberto and the manager Machle for going above and beyond to make the evening so special.
Highly recommended — and we will definitely be coming back many more times!

The service was good. Nice and quiet place. They should identify their veggie options on the menue.

I am sorry to say for a passionate supporter of the Edmonton food scene this location downtown did not hold up to the reputation. Lobster Croquettes that tasted like a cheaper version of fish cakes from Costco and beef carpaccio that was tasteless this was a disappointment. I was so looking forward to a lovely meal before the Jann Arden concert but sadly this was not it!

We did the Bodega Sotttano wine meal experience with a group of six of us. We got a separate room with a group total of 19 people. Each wine and coarse was explained to us as we went through the experience. It was very interesting and yummy except that I ate and drank way too much. Good times!

Great food Excellent service by our hostess! The Manager or owner wearing oilers shirt was the best!
Great food and great service. Greeted at the door by the owner shows his dedication to the customer.

We only had a very short window to grab dinner before the symphony, and the staff were outstanding. We had the most delicious meal served in record time. We love it here and will continue to come back.
Needed a quiet location for a private business dinner. Sorrentino's was excellent. WE had a quiet corner, excellent food and attentive service. Not inexpensive but excellent in all respects.
Good food and service, but a bit pricy for lunch. They no longer have their panini + soup or salad deal.
