The food was quite good. The waitstaff was pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere is old school since it's such an old restaurant with tons of history in the city. If I have to recommend anything it's going here and getting their London Fog if you like those because theirs was the best I've had.

The atmosphere of the place is oddly soothing since it is actually pretty loud, people seem happy together, and the lady with a dog beside me is very friendly, which makes me somehow felt heart warmed too. The service is good, food is extremely delicious, and I can see how he brew up the coffee, which made me change my mind of just drinking water, which I’m glad I did so, I think this place has one of the best black coffee I’ve ever drank.

The bison stew and chicken curry were delicious. I had the best negroni I’ve ever had. It was an absolute pleasure to have Brian as our server. They are very accommodating with dietary requirements.

Their brunch eggs Benedict is always my go-to. Super yummy! It gets quite busy in there though, but it’s well worth the wait for brunch!

Had a great lamb burger the bun was a bit too soft for me and the fries were mediocre far too skinny and greasy! The music always tends to be too loud for me. Overall a pleasant visit. Service was very good.

No reservation option. Half an hour wait outside, slow preparation for entry. Pretty sure they are just hyping up by creating unnecessary line up there. See videos for empty spots.

TL;DR Great food, mediocre service.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this place since moving to Edmonton. I was excited to finally try it. We had the Benny and hash. The food is great; however, this place is too focused on trying to get you out the door even when there’s no line or wait. When we were there, we had to ask 3 times to get our coffee refilled. On top of that, the server always acted as if there was someone else to serve when we did ask for something.. for context, there were several empty tables around. I didn’t even end up making a fuss when a couple requests on the meal were not realized.
I get that they’re trying to have a high turnover of tables to meet demand but that shouldn’t come at the expense of the sitting customers. This is especially true when there’s empty tables.

Super cute little spot hidden away, but very busy. Its easy to see why as the food is delicious and the prices are right for what you are getting. Homemade ketchup is to die for uou won't be disappointed finding this gem.

I had my birthday breakfast party at Sugarbowl, and it was absolutely perfect! The food was delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully served. The atmosphere is cozy and lively, just what you want for a celebration. Our server was super friendly and made sure everything ran smoothly even though we had a big group. Everyone left happy and full! Definitely one of Edmonton’s best spots for brunch — I’ll be coming back again for sure! 🎉🥞☕
