We absolutely loved it! Tasted phenomenal with really healthy portions and the guys working were really friendly and helpful.“

“Checked this place out for the first time and we weren't disappointed! All of our sushi was fresh, well presented and reasonably priced. The miso soup was piping hot and very tasty. The unagi roll was one of our favs, and with 4 huge rolls, the 2 of us left stuffed to the brim with delicious sushi, our bill was ~$50. The servers were all friendly and helpful, so glad we stopped in!“

“Great sushi situation in a house. Their rolls and bulgogi dishes were great. Their sushi is also good with huge portions of sushi. Their dynamic roll was a bit too spicy for me so next time I’ll ask for the spicy mayo to be on the side. They recommended we get the platter next time as it is more economical. Highly recommend. They have a large patio/outside space that would be lovely in the summer.“

Foods are fresh, and good.
But I won't say it's good portion but enough, because a lot of rice.

The rice a bit hard, maybe I like a bit softer.

“Food is ok in general. Unfortunately they are more worry asking you how is the food than in the actual service. I bet they came at least 10 times asking about the food. My glass of water was half empty most of the time. I’ve got a refilled once. At the end, we checked the bill and we’ve got charge PST- WTH? I cannot imagine how many other people got charges and didn’t even know! Not impressed! I like most of the food, fried chicken needs it more flavour. The rest was good!“

My brain had fireworks going off the entire time I was there tasting everything I had ordered from the duck and beef tataki to the 5 assorted sashimi and the aburi saba. It was "chef's kiss". If you're new to Edmonton and love Japanese styled and inspired foods you HAVE TO COME HERE. Reservations highly encouraged we got lucky to get in as quick as we did without one, but this place is VERY popular.“

“This place is amazing. Great atmosphere, super helpful staff and hostess. Rolls are perfect sizes, with a range of large and small. Our 10 yr old wanted dumplings and the 6pc Gyoza was perfect for him. All ingredients were super fresh, avocados were the perfect ripeness. Their signature seasonal deserts are pcs of art, the amount of time and detail on these are absolutely stunning. I would travel across the city for this place, luckily we’re really close. 10/10.“

“This place is a gem for great quick sushi noms at a great price. It's always quiet as a grave inside when I've gone, but the food is always tasty and the staff are adorable.

I always hit up the dream tea before I head over and they never give me any hassle. They do make bubble tea but I like it from Dreamtea better.

Dragon eye roll is a win.“

“Where do i start? This was my first time here with my mom and we were blown away! Beautiful little restaurant, this place is a GEM! It was packed for a Wednesday, but the service was consistent and incredible! The tables have extra napkins and there's a nice container with some wooden chopsticks. Your food is served on little wooden boards which was awesome! The wasabi looked like it was in the shape of a flower. The details at this place are amazing . Alot of severers and all of them were so sweet and attentive . I love the tiny portions here, it lets you trt everything on the menu without getting stuffed on rice! The sashimi is small and thin, which is just perfect. Most of the items you get only 2 pieces, you get little rice and its great! Most ayce places give you so much rice with your rolls and the portions are huge. Everything here is delicate and balanced. The beef tatayki was my favorite! Three strips of deliciousness . It makes you order more! I really enjoyed getting my sushi in controlled portions. Because of this me and my mom ate alot. We tried the toro which was extra, but it was melt in your mouth. Theres also an option here to get raw food to cook on a stone! We didnt do that, but you can get fish, shrimp, mussels and steak! You cook it right at your table . Most of the food we had melted in our mouths. What i really enjoyed was that we got everything in all our orders. We didn't have to repeat any items like we do at other sushi places. 10/10, sushi toshi is our favorite place now!!“

“We go here every single Friday as one of my daughters is a sushi lover. Each time the staff is friendly and they always make sure that she is happy with her order.
All ingredients are always fresh and very tasty. The restaurant is very clean.

In fact he left kitchen and came to our table to ask us about an ingredient he was concerned may have gluten. He wasn't sure about and he wasn't sure we knew about - noticed and appreciated. “Food was great, I really enjoyed the mussel soup and the miso soup. Lots of flavour and really great mussels.

I definitely recommend having the seafood noodle spicy instead of regular because it needs a push of flavour in that regard. Since I only eat Halal, we had to get a veggie broth instead of a chicken broth which could’ve pushed down the flavour content.

The mochi was delicious and definitely a must try. Very creamy and delicious.

Servers were very kind and came regularly to check on our table.

“I've been a Mikado customer and enthusiast since the owner (David) was a sushi chef at the original location back in the early 1980s. The fact that I (now 'we') continue to be clients of this fine establishment for over four decades pretty much illustrates how highly we regard this group of restaurants. 5.5 stars out of 5!!!“

“Heard good things from friends and colleagues about this place over the years, and finally got a chance to visit.

Pleasant, peaceful unassuming little restaurant, Japanese owned. I got their beef Bento which felt authentic, fresh and definitely on the high end of Edmonton quality. They focus on more traditional offerings here so none of those fusion rolls etc. Definitely will be back if I want to fill my sushi craving within Edmonton. 😀“

“This was a amazing sushi place that I did not know about. Ice cold sashimi platters that were amazing and the deep fried roll was hot and spicy. Went there with my roommate who wanted to show me a new spot. This was a great sushi place that is unknown in Edmonton. Stop here if you have the chance or dinner or lunch😉

I wish they were better known with all the industrial workers around there for lunches.
