This is not a sushi place. It is buffet house Chinese food with a sushi attached large room. The sushi is the kind you get at any mid budget buffet. The prices are not. Your bill reads Buffet House even though the Sushi sign is on the outside. The place was full with people just ordering stacks of food to their table. Not really caring tastes like. Watch the surprise 18% tip on parties of six or over. I guess that’s how they pay their staff. Watch your bill as well. I got charged $41 for an extra person. Lucky to have that removed. I hope they up their game in the kind of food quality they offer. I’m quite surprised at the other positive reviews they have received.

If you have any allergies/food sensitivities/lifestyle diet preferences I do not recommend ordering here.

Sushi is usually very easy to accommodate for my dietary preferences and food intolerances. I ordered a vegetarian roll and mentioned a gluten allergy in the comments on uber eats (with other items that were not marked gluten free for someone else). They sent it packaged directly touching another roll that was covered in roe (not vegetarian) and most likely not gluten free (depends on the roe). Was not able to eat the gluten free/vegetarian roll I ordered for dinner due to how it was packaged. Also half of the miso soup spilled as it was not packaged well.

I was with a large party and had our reservation changed to a later time twice. They split us into several sections for ordering and my section didn't receive any food till others were already on second round. We also did not get everything we ordered and had to keep reminding the server. Some of our food was also delivered to a different section. The food was delicious and the restaurant was packed. Being small and that many people it was also very loud. The food was worth it though

We reserved a table 5 hours in advance, showed up and had to wait 25 mins for our table to get “cleaned up” when nothing was getting done.Table was left with garbage on it and was barely cleaned throughout our hour of stay. $20 TIP was taken for an adult and a child because the table had 7 people on it. I’d have no worries paying the service fee as long as there is service given.
The coke was given to us in a bottle that looked like hair oil bottle. Sushi Toshi South aide is better. This location is horrible. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Pretty sweet little all you can eat place for Japanese food. You can eat a lot of food for the money that's for sure. We ordered a little bit of everything. We were so full when we left. We didn't go for seconds.

Service is amazing. Everybody is so nice and friendly and they check up on you quite a bit. It's worth leaving a good tip.

The only thing that I can complain about is the parking can be rough on the weekends because it's pretty packed. We came on a Friday night and we had to wait 45 minutes in our car because it was so busy but it is what it is.

Had a lovely (late anniversary) date night here! Although it’s rather small it honestly is worth the wait to get in. We forgot to make a reservation but we ended up doing Xmas shopping while we waited an hour, which they called us to come back! Amazing all you can eat options, including the hot stones! Never tried it before and got the steak and it was probably the best steak I’ve had (while making myself too) servers were polite and always came by to clean up. cant wait to come back!

Easily the best sushi in Edmonton. We don’t go into the city regularly. But everytime we have a craving for sushi, this is our top choice. The hot stone is incredible and so worth it. I’ve yet to try anything that I wasn’t pleasantly surprised with

I recently visited Sushi Toshi with my family for dinner and had a very pleasant experience. The restaurant was quite busy, so it was great that we had a reservation and didn’t have to wait.

The service was friendly and welcoming, nothing extravagant but very professional. The all-you-can-eat menu is impressive, though the hot stone items like steak, shrimp, and mussels are limited to 1 per person.

The hot stone grilled steak was my favorite — juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. I also really enjoyed the surf clam, one of my top picks. On the other hand, the chicken skewers were a bit dry, maybe cooked a little too long, but my family enjoyed all the sushi items.

Ending the meal with a complimentary ice cream was a really nice touch.

Overall, we had a wonderful dinner and would definitely like to come back to try more dishes. Highly recommended!

We just went for the first time. I really enjoyed the decor, and seating. Our server was exceptional. And the food was wonderful. I look forward to going back.
