There were 6 dishes on the buffet that were vegetarian. When I asked which dishes were vegetarian, Farrah offered to make up some vegetable spring rolls for me. They were delicious. Great service!

Foods and services have definitely gone down since last time I was there for dinner. Do not think I’ll ever come back. Not much of choices in the buffet unless you request for a specific foods. Very sad to see it going downhill. It used to be really good place to eat.

Tonight My mother and I gave Schezuan Castle another try. We were there 3 years ago, the food, service and atmosphere wasn't great. Tonight it was even worse.
As soon as we came in, we noticed 2 carts of buspans of dirty dishes near the lobby door that was visible. Take Note Alberta Health and Safety.
Secondly, The Buffet steam table was nearly empty and the food was cold and ginger beef and chicken balls were tough that you can't cut with a knife. The place was dead and I wonder why. The place has gone downhill and needlessly to say we won't becoming here again. Beijing House is much better then this place.
I am scrolling through the reviews and lots of one star reviews. Does the owners and management read the reviews? It is the worst Chinese food I had in a long time. You Outta be ashamed of yourselves.

Stay away from Szechuan Castle in Edmonton, no prices posted for how much your meal will cost for their overpriced dry food with flies all over the restraunt and may get hair in your dessert, then when you get your overpriced bill for the food and dont leave them a 15$+ tip both servers will come and b***h you out in front of the rest of the patrons about not getting enough tip money for you serving yourself the food , hopefully i dont get sick now too 😷 My added tip for this restraunt is do not go there.

Went for a work lunch today and one of my coworkers got accused of trying to steal by our server. My coworker didn’t want the buffet, so said she wanted to order something else. The server then told her she could order something else but not to share food with anybody eating the buffet because they have cameras and will know that she’s doing that. She basically accused her of theft. Some of us said it was rude to accuse but the server did not apologize.
I then said I wouldn’t be tipping because the server was rude and the next time the server came to the table she said a 15% automatic gratuity would be added to our bill because we were a table of five.
The only thing that was decent from the buffet were the beef samosas. I will not be going back.

I grew up in Edmonton and have eaten at almost all Chinese food places from corner to corner of this city. Fact is that this place consistently gives good food. For Western style Chinese food its hard to beat.

I really like the food. A lot of choices. Taste is great, close to homestyle cooking (Asian). Affordable too.
Ordered with a coworker and this has to be the worst Chinese food i have had. From complete MUSH of Chicken Chow mien while having chicken that is soo tough and stringy it was thrown out, Honey Garlic Chicken was HARD AS A ROCK again while being mushy actually had to use a knife to cut it, Dry curry noodles you could choke, on very disappointed. will never be ordering here again, your better off eating ramen and saving your money then ordering here.
