I am wonton soup hound. I've eaten most every wonton soup in the area The house will make my own using roasted garlic and leak with sesame oil. I have not tried the rest of the order yet but the price and quantity of wontons is great. Quality of wanton could be better it's a little bit gluey and seems like straight pork It would be nice if it had some water chestnuts perhaps and aromatics. They would be able to cut their product what boosting the flavor profile also could use MSG My and a touch

It was my first visit at Szechuan Paramount, and they did not disappoint. The food was flavourful and authentic. I will definitely be back again!

10/10 Chinese food… move over Panda Express and Manchu Wok. Every dish here is absolutely mouthwatering and the flavour brings you right back to China. Perfect spot if you’re looking in the mood for a cheat meal or to satisfy a savoury craving. Love this place love the people and love the food. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was Mark Wein’s next food stop when in Alberta.

First time getting food from Szechuan Paramount and it was a huge disappointment. We ordered an assortment of traditional and non-traditional Chinese food and every dish felt like it had 10x the necessary amount of sodium. Even with the high sodium, the dishes themselves lacked taste/flavour.

I had chow mein with beef and broccoli and went on an unexpected rollercoaster of emotions. The noodles? A little on the salty side (soy sauce clearly had no chill), but the veggies were really good. The beef? Well… I ate it, I liked it, but I did have a brief existential crisis trying to figure out if it was actually beef. But hey, sometimes in life, you just roll with it.

Now, let’s talk about the real MVP: the service! The person I met (not entirely sure if they were the owner) was so warm, friendly, and welcoming, with that perfect ‘I genuinely want you to enjoy your meal’ energy. It almost made me forget about my slightly confused taste buds. They really know how to make customers feel at home.

This place isn’t exactly designed for long, luxurious dining. With just a few chairs around, it kind of feels like they’re politely saying, ‘Take your food, go home, and enjoy it in peace.’ And honestly? I respect that. Plus, their menu is HUGE, which means I have plenty of chances to find my new favorite dish.

Final verdict? I’m coming back. And next time, I fully expect my taste buds to be dazzled. Szechuan Paramount, I’m rooting for you!

Having beaten my friends in a game of 2K25 Golf. I needed to get something for dinner. I looked online for Chinese food. I saw a name that I have not seen in a long time: Szechuan Paramount.
It was a place we used to love in Millwoods. It sadly closed and the area was devoid of Chinese food. I knew exactly where I was going to order from.
They have the best dinner for 2 options. One gets free fried rice and three items to choose from. Three!!! And from a wide menu to choose from. I was so happy I got a dinner for four just to get four items to choose. FOUR!!! Amazing. I paid the best price in Edmonton for these tasty dishes and I went home like a conquering hero. With money still in my wallet.

Expensive and not good. Ordered halal chicken fried rice there was no chicken but more like chick peas fried rice had no taste in the rice but bland taste. Honey beef was ok. If you charging full for the dishes then please don’t cheap out on chicken in rice and may be revisit how to make chicken fried rice.. as they were tasteless… literally no taste if you want I can share pics for the fried rice with no chicken in it

I ordered fried rice, chicken corn soup , beef in black bean sauce and chicken with vege, and I must say it was 95% salt, we couldn’t eat the food as it was extremely salty, they are very generous with the proteins which is very good, but also very generous with salt, please reduce the amount of Salt for others next time

Odered food for Christmas eve. Odeted at 4: 30 pm. Was guaranteed delivery at 6 pm. Never happened. Called several times. Poor girl answering the phone did her best to help. Never happened. If you can't deliver at scheduled time, notify customers. Absolutely disgusting. Never again will I order from this place.
