Szechuan Sweet Mango is hands down one of the best spots for Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine in Edmonton. From the moment we stepped inside, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. The service was warm and attentive without ever feeling rushed, and the restaurant had a clean and cozy atmosphere that made us want to stay and relax.
We started our meal with the crispy wontons, which were golden and crunchy with a flavorful filling that was perfectly seasoned. They came out hot and fresh and were the ideal start to the meal.
For our mains, we ordered the Szechuan Chicken and the Ma Po Tofu with beef. The Szechuan Chicken had a bold, spicy flavor with just the right amount of heat. It was stir-fried to perfection, with tender pieces of chicken and vibrant vegetables. The Ma Po Tofu was rich and comforting, with soft tofu in a deeply savory sauce that paired beautifully with jasmine rice.
What really stood out was how generous the portion sizes were. Every dish felt like it could easily feed two people, and the prices were more than fair. For the quality and the amount of food you get, it is absolutely worth every dollar.
If you are looking for a spot in Edmonton that offers flavorful, authentic Szechuan-inspired dishes along with friendly service and a relaxing vibe, Szechuan Sweet Mango should be at the top of your list. I will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Highly recommended!

Amazing food (it's not Hot Pot but still great). It is my go-to place to eat. They tell me they have city-wide delivery in Edmonton too!

Szechuan Sweet Mango never disappoints. The scents of curry and lemongrass greet you as soon as you walk in and the menu offers a great mix of Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai dishes. Everything tastes fresh—from the herb-rich pho broth and crisp vegetables to the tender ginger beef and lemongrass chicken. They have lots of vegetarian and gluten‑free options, the portions are generous and the prices are fair. Best of all, the staff treat you like family and the dining room has a warm, inviting vibe. One of my favourite spots for Asian comfort food.

The service was good and food came expeditiously.
I had the pineapple pork, it was overpowering with a vinegar taste. The pineapples were saturated with vinegar.
I rate the dish below average or worse.
Ate at Sweet Mango before and quality of the vermicelli bowl was same below average and portion size of meat was small.
Amazing service and FAST! Lovely little spot.

The delivery guy that just dropped off my food acted like a child who didn't get his way and he had the nerve to barged in my house and he was stopping in my house without my permission

The workers despise the delivery guys. They made me wait 30 minutes, lied to me, and treated me with disrespect. If they paid me all the money in the world, I would not deliver from this restaurant.
Szechuan Sweet Mango Restaurant (formerly Chinese Szechuan Stir Fry), the previous restaurant named here, was always our go-to for home delivery for at least 20 years. Since the change, we have ordered at least 3 or 4 times.. last time in sept 23. Im sorry, but something has really changed in the kitchen, im not sure if it's the re-jigging of some of the recipes, but it's just not the same anymore. The prices have risen too, which is fine by us, but somehow it's just not the same. Over the years, we have recommended to friends & neighbors what a great place for Chinese food, but I dont think I can do that anymore. Hopefully, in the future, we will try this place again, maybe even come in for a meal, but for now we will give them a chanch to figure it things out.

Been here twice now and had an amazing experience both times. The food is amazing with over 100 menu items, and they are dedicated to service. It is so apparent that this restaurant is a labor of love by the owners and staff, if you get a chance please go and enjoy Szechuan Swee Mango?

If you enjoy frozen chinese food from the grocery store then you might like this place.. Chinese food is barely mid tier. Green onion cake is <99% batter. The pieces that did had a few specks of green were a miss. Chicken balls had chicken but were very doughy. Ginger beef was soggy and had vegetables that arent usually in ginger beef. The high price isnt for food quality or quantity. Maybe because it's technically on whyte ave.
