I had a fabulous experience at Tasty Tomato this past weekend. The penne with vodka special was very tasty and did not disappoint. The staff were also very friendly and I had the perfect date night out!!

I made a phone call order for shrimp alfredo and would pick up. The menu says it comes with tiger prawns but other reviews clearly said they had also had a problem with the same item dated up to a year earlier. When i picked up, the food waz hot. I had actually upgraded for an additional order of shrimp. The total was $35. The extra shrimp waz 7$ ? To my amazement the shrimp were tiny and in total there were 7 in the extra ordered for 7$ making each one $1? Thats crazy. The next day i went to a grocery, and found pasta for 2$,

First timer to this beautiful family run business. because we heard such great things about this place which is in our neighborhood for 30 + years. Owner of the restaurant Even used to build and lived in the house couple houses down from our place. Sad to say it wasn’t a Tiger Prawns that was mentioned on menu. Instead of those tiny shrimps. Service was bad. The lady with hair pulled back wasn’t even friendly when she first saw us sitting to be waited. Such a big disappointment first impression. Our bill were $141.00. I tipped $25 cash. The other young lady with long hair took the money unhappily. We’re such people person family. I’m also run a family restaurant in the city. We do not provide this type of unhealthy service. We thank every customer with or without tips! Just a friendly message to the two servers in tasty Tomato this evening. Tips are not mandatory in this planet. Thank you for your service this evening. We will not be back.

The pasta here is incredible — one of the best I’ve ever had! The restaurant feels full of history with all the beautiful family photos on the wall. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Truly a gem!

We have been enjoying Tasty Tomato since they opened in the 1990s. Hands down the best pasta in Edmonton & better than Italy! Their boscaioli is my partner's favorite, their bruschetta (a non-menu item) is a must, the home made tiramisu is divine & everything is worth at least 1 try -- delicious 😋. Joe is a stellar host & the servers are attentive, but not intrusive. Still trying to get their secret recipes! 😉
