Why have an item on the menu you do not serve?
Was so excited for Mango salad. It is on the menu in 2 places. Was told they didn’t have any, it was after 3 pm. I thought they were sold out for the day. I then enquired "when would it be available. Was told it was not at there store.

I'm on a medically restricted diet following surgery. Thai Express was the only restaurant in the Southgate Mall food court (that I could see) that offered soup. They were tremendously accommodating and provided me with a small bowl of soup broth (no protein, no noodles), even discounting the price! It was so delicious I can't wait to try it with chicken and noodles! Rave to them!

I tried the small soup, with fish. Fish was battered and deep fried, but the soup made the breading soggy pretty quickly. Everything tasted great and it was perfectly spicy. I'd recommend trying the beef, chicken, or shrimp with the soup though.
Serving size was perfect for a medium lunch. Atmosphere is typical busy mall food court, not really in their control.

Came here how many times. They refused to make me a spring roll when they were out. Then lied about having no noodles when they were right in front of my face!!! Don't go here

Tom Yum Soup (CAD $14.78), we ordered it with chicken and medium spicy. The broth is lemongrass chicken soup and came with vegetables such as carrots, bean sprouts, onions, coriander and green onion. It tastes sweet and not too spicy.
Pad Thai (CAD $14.78), it is a dish of fried thin rice noodles with egg, tofu, bean sprouts, green onions and chilli. We also ordered it with chicken and medium spicy. The dish is prepared on the spot near the cashier, so it is hot, fresh and has a sweet flavor with a slight sour and a little spicy.
I think this level of quality in a food court is already awesome.
Tom Yum Soup (CAD $14.78) is Tom Yum soup gold-rimmed noodle. There are different sizes, so he ordered the big one. The protein can be paired with chicken, beef, shrimp, etc. He chose chicken. In addition, he already had many vegetables such as carrots, bean sprouts, onions, coriander, chopped green onions, etc. The soup base is spicy lemongrass chicken soup, and you can choose the spiciness level. He ordered medium spiciness, which tasted sweeter, but the spiciness of medium spiciness was not too strong.
Pad Thai (CAD $14.78) is Thai-style stir-fried Phnom Penh noodles. The staff even cooks them on the spot next to the cash register. It is very "wok-like" and sincere. The portion is large, and the Phnom Penh noodles are stir-fried evenly without being mushy. I also chose to go with chicken, and then there are eggs, fried tofu, bean sprouts, chopped green onions, peppers, etc. The spiciness level is also medium spicy, so eat it. The main focus is on sweetness, and I think it’s pretty good for a food court to be able to enjoy this quality.

I went there yesterday for lunch, the food and service was good and I initially had no problems, however I got really sick afterwards. I ate the Tom yum soup with chicken and coconut milk, maybe the chicken had been sitting out too long and was bad?
This store is the best Thai express in Edmonton. If you say it’s not delicious, it’s really not good.

I typically order online, so have less to say about the place. I know their cooks are great and make delicious fresh pad thai and other dishes very fast and very delicious. Never had a bad experience with delivery save a few times when the food comes either too dry or too wet, but it always tastes great regardless of the texture complaints.Only complaint I have is their 'side' options are a bit overpriced for what you get. I like their dumplings and spring rolls but I want usually a good handful and it's a lot!

I actually enjoyed my last meal here, but it will unfortunately be my last time ordering from here. The food has doubled in price since I started going to this restaurant and I have decided to boycott them.17 dollars for a single dish without a drink is too much money.
Switched to takeout plates to give smaller portions
10/10 service and quality of food for sure!!! I work in the mall and my go to option for lunch is this Thai express specifically. One of the workers, Stephen is an amazing cook as well as person always serving me with a big smile with such delicious food. I will always and highly recommend this establishment whenever eating at Southgate centre.
