Thai Express Restaurant Edmonton

I ordered a Veg Pad Thai and specifically asked for medium spicy, but what I got was extremely sweet instead. It didn’t taste anything like Pad Thai — just sugary noodles.
On top of that, there was barely any broccoli (only one small piece!), even though other Thai Express locations usually include a good amount of vegetables.
The worst part — we actually found beef in the dish! I’m a strict vegetarian, so this was completely unacceptable. I had to leave half the meal uneaten.
Although they did refund the money, the staff acted like nothing happened and didn’t even offer a sincere apology. Very disappointing experience. I won’t be ordering from this location again.

The food was amazing, and I'd recommend the fried rice or the pad thai. It's a really good go-to restaurant whenever you are craving Asian food. Could use some work on the spice levels. ( Its usually the same mild or very spicy)

I come from out of town and i really like vietnamese food. I have always had a good experience with this restaurant in the Kingsway location.
I ordered the Thai beef bowl and it was awful. I remember the broth having so much flavour before. The one I got was so bland and unappetizing and the beef was chewy. There was zero flavour. I had to add 2 hoison and 2 chili just to be able to get through less than half of the bowl. I was such a disappointment knowing there was probably another 20 places in that mall that make noodle bowls. One of my worst fast food experiences.

First of all , you are in Canada , learn to speak and understand english or keep a translator to understand customers complaints.
We ordered a portion of chicken pad thai with gluten free noodles and the chicken is like rubber. When we complaint the owner/ manager is defensive , not ready to listen and she does not understand the complaint. Not appreciated ! Good luck with ur business with this approach.

Ok, so I was torn with this rating. The food I got was good, except for the Thai Tea. It was extremely bitter and not consumable, I had to throw it away after the first drink. The service wasn’t great either. The person who was helping me was sick and coughing constantly and couldn’t understand what I was trying to order. Chicken stir fry with cashews. The chicken stir fry was really good! The fresh shrimp roll I got was good and held together, however the one my wife got fell completely apart before even the first bite.

This place gave me food poisoning. Do not come to this place!! I went on June 22nd, 2025 at around 4pm and ordered a Thai chicken curry and immediately developed salmonella food poisoning. After being sick from my food poisoning for 5 days and still sick now I had to go to the hospital for treatment. Do not come here unless you would like food poisoning for a week.

It’s my second time to get thaiexpress for lunch and this time i try General Thairacha , Omg the sauces is perfect and the chicken is good . The lady cashier is nice and the cook is nice too. Highly recommended 😍

Worst pad thai I've ever had. Just a pile of sugary noodles. No veggies. No herbs. Shrimp still had tails on. Ugh.

Every single time I go to Thai express they have no salad rolls! I asked the worker to make some & he declines & says he doesn't know how to make them!!! This has happened 5 times in the last 2 months

No taste in Thai rice , $3 extra for veggies but veggies missing , taste less

Just straight up terrible, ordered, paid, waited 20 minutes, nothing. Checked with staff 3 times, never figured out my order.Don't go, order online delivery if you want, but if you don't have DoorDash to back you up you probably won't get your food or the right food.

As a regular favorite of mine I hit up Thai Express while at WEM. The service was fantastic and the meal was nothing short of the same. While waiting for my food the staff and I had a short conversation about the food and different flavour profiles they use while cooking. The price was a bit higher than other locations but it's a tourist attraction being st the mall so it makes sense. I'm sure no matter how much I want to try a new restaurant I will likely be back at old faithful next time we eat here.
