Had a good experience at Thai Valley Grill!
The service was quick, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered crab rangoon, beef satay, pad thai, and tom yum soup — everything came out fresh and full of flavor. Finished off with mango sticky rice; the coconut rice was amazing, though I wish the mangoes were a bit sweeter and also could have served on a plate than a bowl. The restaurant was quite busy even on a weekday, which shows how popular it is. Overall, a great spot for Thai food.

I really wanted to love this restaurant because their service is just fantastic. They take their time to answer your questions and recommend items on the menu.
What was disappointing was the food we had ... I'm not sure if it was just an off day for them? To start off, we ordered the green papaya salad, I didn't expect it to taste super sweet and it had a bit too much sauce for our liking. Their green curry came out lukewarm, I appreciate how it wasn't super sweet but it doesn't come with rice, you have to order it. We got their coconut rice but maybe they made a mistake because our rice tasted like regular white rice? We did not particularly enjoy the thai basil stir fry, it also had way too much sauce pooled at the bottom and the flavour fell flat. Their best dish we got was probably the spicy drunken noodles, it's filling due to the thick rice noodles but I noticed they do skimp on the protein.
Overall, the price you are paying for their dishes just felt like it wasn't worth for the quantity & quality you are getting. The taste of the dishes we ordered didn't wow us either. Usually when you take a bite of something delicious it hits the spot but unfortunately we didn't experience that here, everything just felt quite underwhelming.

I happened upon this little gem while perusing the local Thai cuisine. I had the Pad See Ew, Seafood Green Curry, the coconut rice and the mango tapioca pudding. Everything was fantastic. Service was quick and the staff were incredibly friendly. Great atmosphere as well. Would definitely return!

We tried Thai Valley Grill for the first time tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Such a cozy restaurant with great service. The food was excellent. We got the drunken noodles, pad Thai, crab Rangoon & Tom yum soup, and they were all so flavourful. Definitely want to try the curries as they were being eaten around us and looked so tasty. Definitely will be back!

Thai Valley Grill in Edmonton is a true hidden gem that delivers more than just delicious food – it offers a heartfelt experience.
This cozy, family-run spot makes you feel right at home. You can truly taste the touch of a mother’s cooking in every dish – prepared with care and love you’d expect from a home kitchen.
We were warmly welcomed by (I believe) the son-in-law, Evan – such a friendly and attentive host who made our evening even more special with his genuine hospitality.
We had the Tom Yum prawn soup, Crab Rangoon, fried calamari, green shrimp curry, Pad Thai, Chilli Ginger Pork – and ended with banana fritters & coconut ice cream
Every bite was full of flavor and heart.

I worked at The King and I over 20 years ago and developed a love for Thai food. I have been to Thai Valley Grill a handful of times over the last several years and also had them cater two events for 40+ people and it is always so good. Last weekend we went with some friends who know Thai food better than I do and introduced our tastebuds to some new dishes. Wow!! This place is so, so good.
