They only like you if you’re white. Horrible service and even worse ownership

Waitress named Morganne was discriminatory to me and my friends. Asked for manager but manager wasn’t there and they said they would call back but never did. Will never be coming back here again!

Awful service. The servers act as if they’re forced to work there. Our server Morgan was terrible

The Bend has dissapointed to an extreme degree - their staff is acting an a disgusting racist manner.

I came in with some friends to watch a hockey game, and we immediately started recieving horrible service. The waitress was curt, rude, huffy, and would walk away without letting us finish our sentences. She threw plates on the table, and rolled her eyes at us. At first I assumed she was in a bad mood, but she was very polite and chatty to ALL other tables in the bar.

It is suspicious, because we were the only table with non-white patrons, and the only table to recieve this treatment. We were being singled out.

When the time came to pay the bill, I was the only one she spoke to, being the only white member of the table. When my friends paid, she silently handed them the machine, and said nothing, then walked off after the payments were processed.

We reached out to management about this issue, but recieved no response. I am dissapointed that management is not responding to this incident, and allowing racism to occur at their establishment, while implicitly supporting it.

I am incredibly disappointed with The Bend's management and their lack of response to a racist incident that occurred on November 9th, 2024 involving a blonde server wearing a white tank top and black leggings that night.

Throughout the night, our server was incredibly rude and dismissive to our table in comparison to other guests. She seemed annoyed whenever we wanted to order and would walk away before we even finished our sentences. When our food arrived, she would just throw the plates onto the table without any communication and was huffy the whole time. This is in stark contrast to her behaviour with other tables at the lounge and she was noticeably more friendly and chattier with the other patrons.

We were the only table at the lounge with non-white guests. Therefore, it's a bit difficult to ignore the difference in treatment that we received. Even when we were paying for the bill at the end, our server would only acknowledge the one white member in our party. When we tried to get her attention to ask if we did something to offend her to deserve this absurd treatment, she just briskly walked away without even giving us a chance to say anything.

The service we received here was abhorrent and disgusting. I am ashamed that I have patronized this lounge for as long as I have. I have reached out to management MULTIPLE times to discuss this incident and they have not responded to me once. The fact that The Bend tacitly approves of this racist behaviour from their staff is unacceptable.

Service at the bar is great. Servers are friendly and attentive. The biggest drawback is the guy in the kitchen that looks like Sami Zayn........he is coughing all the time and "cooking" the food....you can see him doing it from the pool table area. I was going to order food but that stopped me pretty quick.....so gross and unacceptable....stay home if you are not well especially when people can see you in the kitchen.....gross!

Very friendly staff for one, second, the Cesar salad was perfection. Not overdressed, it had the perfect amount of dressing. Third, the lasagna was excellent. It was one of the best I have had in a pub in a long time.

Clearly a local haunt, food was good, bar fare. A favorite of the local for sure, apparently music on the weekends although we were not there at that time. Pub like atmosphere, a little tired though. There is a patio, but it backs on to a parking lot, so I would eat in.
Over all pretty good

We went there on Sunday and it was extremely quiet when we arrived but the place was clean, so we figured what the heck. The drinks were good. The pizza was excellent. Well worth the wait . Will definitely go back. We had the cocktail special Caesars. We each had a pizza. So four drinks and two pizzas $57. Can’t beat it.

The fish and chips were disgusting. A very hard shell like batter that I couldn’t chew. The Cole slaw was hot and funky tasting and the fries were overcooked and limpy. We waited for quite a while for the waitress to come and check on us but she was too busy twirling her hair and chatting with other tables. Same problem when we got our bill. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Poor service and poor food is not the way I want to spend my hard earned money!
