I was at first hesitant at the prices, but that is not on them, its just the average prices for restaurants in general. However, the BJ signature that I got was very excellent, and I wanted to apologize for being somewhat rude at the cheese check (so many times people think I meant double somehow or forget x.x) Hope the business continues to do well!
P.S. Sauce and hilarious to me the turkey bacon was also very good addons!

I have been eating there for over a decade but today's experience was sad. We will not be back. Almost $90 for 3 people. Plain, boring donuts came out first (not our choice), 15 minutes later, our burgers came out (with no bacon because pork has been removed from the menu), then 15 minutes later when we were done our burgers, they finally brought out our fries. I can understand needing to increase the prices but doubling it and then not even having your service dialed in, is not going to work out for you. I'd rather go to a real sit down restaurant where someone refills my drink for free and I can eat my meal together. There also was no one in the building and now I know why. I miss the original owner.

My burger was decent, nothing to write home about. The curly fries were good but slightly undercooked. Unfortunately the prices are ridiculous. If it was a fantastic burger they could maybe get away with it, but there are many better shops in the city for cheaper.

I figured something was different this time when I walked in, menus, seating, then I noticed the pricing. The fries were a bit bigger portion than previous, but the burger was much smaller than what I was used to expecting as I usually was quite full when I'd treat myself when on this side of town.
I was a disappointed when compared to what was expected and it used to be. I will see if I can find before/after pictures of previous burgers I have had and the new one to show how much of it had changed.
What was once my favourite burger place, is no more.

Not bad a place to come and enjoy a nice burger or so. Good company, nice sitting area. As for the food, was spot on good and the curly fries were indeed to die for. How to order they gave you a check list of what you want on your burger. And the sides and the drinks that you want most. Bottom line, its a good place to come for a good bite of freshly made burgers. And I be happy to be back here again some time ^^

The burger joint must have recently changed hands, prices have skyrocketed and the original ambiance and owner are nowhere to be seen. this place went from one of the top burger spots to not even on the charts. $40 for 2 people to have a frozen patty burger just doesn’t cut it. Sorry but we won’t be back.
First time back in a while.
Looks like they have changed owners unfortunately. One thing that was very upsetting is the price. Go to earls for a couple of dollars more and have a bigger portion. This was the first time in this inflation mess that I was genuinely shocked.
Wish the old owners here still there though.
Plus earls washroom sink dose not overflow and gets cleaned more than once per month.
We have been coming here for a few years. The last year or so we assume the management / owner ship has changed and the quality of the food and portion size has changed drastically. The burgers are smaller and the buns / ingredients have changed for the worse. Disappointing that the low-key local burger place has gone down hill especially for how expensive it is.

I visited BJ yesterday after about two years or so and what a change i experienced. I used to visit here regularly and rated this place 5/5 for the taste, service and price. I am now changing my rating to 1 star or lower if I could. The taste and service has gone down while prices have doubled. I used to tell everyone BJ had the best burger in Edmonton. No other place came even close. But not any more. I paid over $75 for three burgers and 2 fries without the old taste. People working there are nice and it must be some change in the ownership and operations! Won't visit again!

Unbelievably rude and zero customer care. We drove 20 minutes to reach there half an hour before closing time. Right at the moment we parked our cars in front of the restaurant, they turned off the Open sign. When we asked, they just rudely said they were closing early. Any decent person would at least apologize for this when they saw three families had driven such a long distance. We understand that emergencies may happen but the least we wanted to see was decency and customer care. Never ever I am going back there.

This place used to be so good. Like many other reviews recently mentioned it appears the owner(s) have changed. They removed bacon off their menu, not sure why.
The restaurant was not clean. Service was non existent. The food was meh. The curly fries and dip used to be so good and now it is not the same. Very unfortunate as this place was great, not to mention they basically doubled the prices, for food quality that is less good. Needless to say we will not be back after years of coming here.

You can make your own burger or just order from the menu. I made my own burger just lettuce cheese and tomato. The sesame seed bun looks soft and lightly toasted, providing a classic touch. A generous portion of leafy green lettuce adds vibrant colours and crunch, while the tomato slices and melted cheese peek out invitingly from beneath the top bun. I also got mozzarella sticks (6 pcs but already ate 2). The place is quiet, i ate around 3 pm. Would recommend!
P.S try the Chipotle sauce :))

I don’t recommend nor would I go back, Not impressed.. way overpriced … I paid over $25 for a burger, sweet potato fries, and a fountain pop… I should’ve just gone to Joeys for a $5 more and I would’ve gotten a fancy restaurant, amazing service, and ice in my pop. as well as my sweet potato fries would’ve never been served with ranch salad dressing… or maybe I should’ve gone to carls jr instead and got they’re best burger combo with a poutine for $20 lol.
Sorry ladies, but if you want to charge premium prices for burgers it would be wise for you to step up your game ALOT… or lower your prices so that customers don’t feel ripped off, because it will be extremely difficult to thrive in this industry.
You can customize your meal just the way you like it using their check-off lists, or choose from a menu of classic options—including some unique burger creations and different protein choices. The veggies and other ingredients are fresh, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable.I ordered Kids mini Burgers, Salad and Poutine .It was super delicious. I recommend my all friends to visit this place .
