No experience, was looking to treat my mother to a feast and noticed no price value on anything just (market) We live in alberta so I get things srnt fresh but shipped... reading the reviews theres no consistency just hit or miss... biggest thing I noticed is serving side compared to charge ( which is barely posted) I won't take a chance here... your captions menu i I read is over 400... for what 2 people... not a table of 4 or more and for it to be shipped frozen and charge for add on's doesn't sit well with me. Just a hanous money grab and blanket over the eyes till you recieve less and pay for a table full and you get barely enough for 2 people. Thought id check it out. Glad I did before I wasted 400+ on a mediocre dinner that you'd expect to feed 5 and have left overs only to provide less than 2 dinners I get some seafood is expensive.. but not the amount your serving for the cost.. I could buy 10x more from the grocery store ammake it myself and still be under what you charge This is sad... but let's me know i can buy and abundance of ingredients and spices and do it myself for half the cost. Such a shame for your resturaunt Give exact prices. Don't make people guess then slap them with a bill that could provide groceries for a month Shame on you. Happy I never went or was played by this company. If you write truly as good as your menue looks and didnt screw people over with portions equaling half months rent for most people I would have gave it a shot... angers me the sly hand you play on people

I recently went here for my boyfriend’s birthday, with his family and I have to say the service was incredible. Only ever topped by the amazing food, our server (I think his name was Jeff) was so incredibly kind and friendly! Great food, great service. :)

Me and my friend went to the Captains Boil for the first time and were super excited! The restaurant itself is small and the ambience is lacklustre but clean. When we arrived we were seated promptly and helped by a wonderful waiter who explained how everything worked to order. We got a cocktail each which came quickly. We ordered a seafood platter to share which was amazing! Although, not once did anyone check on us once getting the food - we did not see our original waiter again. Our drinks sat empty we would’ve ordered another round but no employee was helping us anymore. When we finished we had to get another servers attention and ask for a to go box cause the platter was too much for the two of us - but delicious. After sitting there for another 15 minutes I thought maybe we had to pay at the front cause once again ZERO service - after getting up and asking a different server we asked how we pay and she went and got another employee to bring us our bill. All in all food was delicious but pricey ($100 each which we found fair for the amount of seafood we received) - service was good at first and then terrible cause as mentioned we received no service (not to check on our drinks, not to ask how everything was, not to ask if we were done even though we sat there a long time, not to bring a bill etc etc etc). Not sure if we would go again because of the lack of service and if I’m paying $100 for myself for a meal service would be nice. Gave three stars for the food, service at the very beginning of our meal was great. If you plan on going go for the food and keep your expectations VERY LOW for service if you are lucky enough to get any.

I recently went to captain boil for a meal with my family and it was excellent. From the food to the service, everything was all around great! The cook was a woman named Marie and my server was a gentleman named Landyn. Both absolute stars at what they do! Highly recommend going and checking for yourself. Thank you Captain Boil for such a pleasant experience!

I was sooo excited to finally try a seafood boil at the captains boil but was EXTREMELY disappointed. We paid $150 +tip for one seafood boil (king crab leg market value was $95, added ramen), an order of chicken wings, and two beers. The wings were nothing special but the seafood boil was AWFUL. Waaayy too much seasoning and oil, I had to pour some of my water onto it and it only helped slightly. After leaving, I gagged the whole drive home and then vomited twice. One and done with the captains boil.

We only ordered 2 dishes here (was quite full before coming here)
- Seafood fried rice Rice was a bit sticky, clumps together a bit, but very buttery, comes with scallops, green onion. The sauce is very rich and delicious!
- Seafood boil with crayfish, captain boil sauce, 2 sides: corn and potato. Mildly spicy - just enough for us to have a bit of runny nose! The sauce was buttery, savoury and rich!
