Minimum $50 card transaction at the bar. Don’t know where you can sit and not sit as everything is reserved and unmarked. Spent way too much money just getting there, all to leave fairly soon. 10 police officers surrounded the dance floor while there was only about 7 people on it. Honestly a very unpleasant experience and was disappointed on spending money on the tickets to be there. If you are looking for a good dance, this is not the place to be.

Don’t book a table here. They’ll take your deposit, try to give you a table more expensive than what you originally agreed on, promise you a refund, tell you for months that it’s on the way, and then ghost you.

I booked a table for my birthday hoping to celebrate with my friends and didn’t end up getting one, which completely threw things off. I was promised a refund many times, but after 3 months of following up, I still haven’t received anything. As a student, $250 is a lot of money for me — and if they’re doing this to others too, it’s really disappointing. It’s not worth your money and I’d recommend going somewhere else where you will have more fun and get what you pay for.

Had a great time but they need more people in there. I think maybe because the day before the oilers were playing and nobody wanted to go out the next day. Will be back again. Drinks are on the expensive side. Pre and enter

“As a Christian, I find the name of your night club and the use of religious statues inside highly offensive. These symbols are sacred, not marketing tools. I wonder how others would feel if their religion were used in the same way. Respect should go both ways. Please consider the impact this has on people of faith.”

Warm drinks, overcrowded, the floors were sticky AF. Not to mention, $20 per person for entry is WILD. I definitely do not recommend going here for a night out.

My friends and I showed up at Church of John tonight to support the Edmonton Stingers, including one of the players. To our surprise, one member of our group was denied entry for wearing shorts and a tank top. We were extremely disappointed with the security, staff, and management—security wouldn’t even allow us to speak with someone in charge to address the issue. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted with this establishment that we’ve been to so many times and we will not be returning.

got ready to go downtown Edmonton to support our friends on the Edmonton Stingers cheer team and was denied entry because of dress code standards, which was clearly targeted to a member in our group— wearing a tank top and shorts. our group was dressed to go to the bar, and was dressed to club standards. however, the security refused to let us speak with a manager even with our friends being on the cheer team. i will NOT recommend this establishment to anyone. being in the industry, this is especially disappointing considering we work downtown. i cannot express my disappointment in this establishment. 0/5

can’t believe the security and management at this establishment. coming to support the Edmonton Stingers and denied entry because one person isn’t up to dress code? where each of us are up to club standard…this is unfair and frankly, not a place that i would recommend to anyone. our friends vouched for this bar and were extremely disappointed. i’m actually baffled at this experience and will spread the word at how embarrassing this place is to the industry and downtown bars. illl go next door to employees only and get the service we deserve.

SO disappointed in the security, staff and management at this bar. We were denied entry because our friend was wearing shorts and a tank top, and security refused to let us speak to management to discuss this issue. Not to mention, we were ALL wearing shorts and a tank top— it felt targeted. We came to support the Edmonton Stingers (one of our friends being on the team), and werent given the opportunity to do so. That being said, we expect better from a bar downtown, all being in the industry. Will not be back.

We came to support the Edmonton Stingers at Church of John tonight. We came with one of the stingers and one of the members in our group was denied entry due to “dress code” with shorts and a tank top. We asked to speak to a manager and security denied our request. Overall disappointed in the security, management, and staff of church. The cheer team was told to bring friends and brought friends, but we were denied entry. Don’t want to come again

Went here on a Wednesday at midnight when it says on Google they are open till 2am and was left stranded outside. Update your Google hours so your guests aren’t left stranded in the cold.

We had a group of 17 who each paid $50 to see Nostalgix, but before she even took the stage, one of our friends was assaulted from behind. We made the mistake of notifying security, who then took our friend away to talk to the assailant. This was possibly the worst conflict resolution I've ever witnessed.

Our friend was understandably upset after being sucker-punched in the back of the head, yet the bouncers chose to drag him out, causing him to slip on the liquid-covered floor and dislocate his knee. Despite the severity of his injury, the bouncers refused to call an ambulance and instead insisted on kicking him out while defending the aggressor, who they labeled “a regular.” It seems that if you spend enough time and money there, you can get away with anything.

Not long after the first incident, the same aggressor approached another friend and challenged him to a fight in the bathroom. This man was maybe 5 feet tall, while everyone in our group is around 6 feet, which made it clear he had connections in this dingy establishment.

Additionally, why is there a $50 minimum to use a credit card, and why is it cash-only after 11? Something feels very off about this place.
