I made a reservation for a quiet table and was sat at a high top by the door with the ambiance of a Tim Hortons. The place is tiny (that is unless they never let us get past the waiting area at the bar, which is ridiculous considering I made an that is unless they never let us get past the waiting area at the bar, which is ridiculous considering I made a reservation) and definitely not worth it. The server was friendly, but would disappear for 15 minutes at a time. It's a good thing. I was not interested in my date and we left after one drink. I would not have ordered food sitting where we were (not for the price is on their menu... I'm willing to pay for quality food. That's not the issue but when the ambiance doesn't match the menu price it's not worth it). I'm not sure why I bothered to make a reservation to begin with. I could've had this table walking up. I won't be back.

absolutely loved it here. the drinks are amazing and so are the bouncers and servers! im from out of town and genuinely felt so safe here. the music was also amazing!! shoutout to james and big papa !!!

Absolutely love this place. The security guys are amazing anytime we had a problem with creeps they helped us out and watched out for us. They are all so friendly. Some of the best security guys I've ever met! The music was amazing as well. Love the overall atmosphere of the place. Big shoutout to James for watching out for us when we were there and for the great conversations! I am definitely coming back during my next trip.

I’ve been to The Common a few times — for dinners on the patio, for intimate meals and once for a New Year’s Eve celebration — tonight was another great experience. It was a politically driven event hosted by the Synergy Group, their first since COVID (they used to organize these get together more regularly).
The energy tonight was fantastic — we live in Alberta, so you can imagine the conversations — but this review is about the food and the venue, not politics!
The snacks were delicious, the drinks were flowing, the conversations lively, and the overall atmosphere was wonderful, as always. The Common continues to be a reliable, welcoming place for events big and small. Great night, great food, great people.

My partner and I were going out to celebrate and upon arriving we were greeted by a super friendly server named Mickey. It was our first time at the common and he sat us in a great spot and gave great drink recommendations. Our server was Matt and our first round of drinks were actually taken care of! I’m assuming Mickey shared with Matt it was our first time at the common and we were there celebrating our anniversary. The food was amazing! And the drinks were so creative and beautifully crafted! Overall a really special experience, great atmosphere, and fantastic staff!!!

The atmosphere is cozy but still feels a little upscale — perfect for a nice night out without being too formal. The staff are super friendly. The food is good — you can tell they use quality ingredients and put a lot of care into every dish. If you're looking for a place with great food, great service, and a relaxed but classy vibe unless there's a wedding or noisy table happening that night (bad luck), definitely check it out.
