Our server was attentive & polite. We placed our order for appetizers/main course & desert together after receiving our water Unfortunately we never received our desert in time to finish before we had to leave The restaurant was fairly quiet on this particular night We left disappointed
Servers were fantastic. Afternoon tea was great! Dinner - the prime rib was tough to chew. And the meal was very salty Wouldn't hurt if someone got rid of the bugs on the windows and curtains. Pretty gross.
Amazing experience! Came for a birthday and it was so worth it. Such a fun event. Love dressing up and going for tea. Worth every dollar!
The hotel staff were lovely from reception to Confederation Room staff to Jackson who gave us a mini tour and then Jacob serving high tea, Total perfection for my granddaughter and I marking her 18th birthday. Thank you very much,
Was definitely overpriced and service felt rushed, while it being Christmas it did not feel like it.
This was our second year attending the Christmas Eve dinner and it was wonderful. The hotel is bustling with holiday cheer and provides a wonderful setting. The food and drink (wine pairings in particular) were delicious. The staff were friendly, attentive, and contributed to a relaxing and memorable experience. I would suggest booking a reservation for the bar if you plan to stop in for a drink before or after your dinner reservation; we had planned to do so, but couldn't get in because it was so busy. We will definitely return again!
We came back to our favorite hotel and were blown away by the superior service in the Confederation lounge (thanks Gwen) and on the Gold floor. The Xmas decorations are lovely and we enjoyed the new menu. Also loved the speed of the room service on Saturday night! So much to recommend about this beautiful hotel!
The atmosphere is utterly enchanting—stunning decor, flickering candlelights, exquisite food, and impeccable style. I can’t find enough words to describe how fantastic it was!
Ivan (an excellent and attentive server) and David (a talented chef!) made the experience truly magical. Highly recommended!
Pd: You have to try the tenderloin and prime rib...

Our food came out nearly inedible, and the sauces were flavorless and not reduced properly. The bisque and the proteins in particular were flavorless and cooked poorly. The saving grace was that the service was excellent and the drinks were acceptable. We suspect the food was served from their leftover banquets, and overall are incredibly disappointed. My 36th birthday dinner was ruined.

While staying at the hotel this weekend we needed a quick dinner option, the Harvest room was the only restaurant with availability. The menu was boring, nothing very appealing, but we were pinched for time so stayed. The dirty martini I ordered was served in a coupe and was only ok. We ordered the beef tenderloin for $67 ea, we got a small, nicely cooked, tender piece of tenderloin, three new potatoes and a small piece of squash. The steak and potatoes had no seasoning, we had to ask for salt (which we never do). The service was mediocre and the atmosphere was nice but nothing special. We will not eat here again, there are better options for the money very close by.

Great service and devour, friendly environment.
$14.00 for a small plate of overcooked fries is nuts.
$26.00 for a Martini 😄
The great nachos and fish and chips long gone and
Nothing comparable on menu.
No more complimentary snacks served with the over priced drinks.
Will not patronize this place as often

⭐️⭐️1/2 Harvest Room – Hotel Macdonald We recently dined at the Harvest Room and, unfortunately, the experience fell short of what we expected from such an iconic venue. The service was just okay—polite, but slow enough that despite booking 2.5 hours for our meal, we ended up having to skip coffee to make it to our show on time. The appetizers and main courses were genuinely enjoyable, and for a while we thought the evening would redeem itself. But the cheesecake that arrived for dessert should never have left the kitchen. It was hard, dry, and so disappointing that it really overshadowed the rest of the meal for all of us. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it certainly wasn't the elevated dining experience we were hoping for. With a few improvements—especially in pacing and dessert quality—the Harvest Room could easily live up to its reputation again.
Had a wonderfull birthday dinner for my partner, staff was amazing! Our server Rhena was an absolute delight and completely made the night memorable! ( give her a raise!! She deserves it) 10/10 for food and expiriance

The place was very quiet. On a friday night there was only one other couple there. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food was subpar. $36 for a tiny scallop and rubbery octopus. The duck tasted like it was microwaved, burnt skin and dry. Lamb was undeseasoned. We will not be back.
